Many network engineers who have to deal with asynchronous routing have had to deal with this particular issue. You got into the habit of doing a ctrl+u ctrl+k just in case, and you get hyper-aware that pressing the enter key has consequences.
That's why there are no social networks. They are moron menageries. Idiot aggregators. Stupidity sieves.
You can't even tell who they are anymore. How do I know? Because I've been paid to post on reddit. I only do it for products I've actually used and things I like, but I got paid nobody has a clue. Not even you.
All of these bugs are super well-known, written about, and documented.
I never did find a good Deb package cache manager. I simply wrote a script that distributes common packages between my LAN systems as I update them in a serial matter. It works but I wish there was something better. Everything I've tried is either sub-Alpha bugware and incomprehensibly complicated.
Mozilla has made a number of obvious mis-steps, but not only is there virtually no acknowledgement of the negative impact of these mis-steps, but they are often falsely lauded as successes, when they are obviously massive failures.
The user is then confronted with language typically associated with emotional abusers, such as "We know how much you love Firefox!". Googling the words "you love" against Mozilla's website turns up hundreds of bizarre examples.

And Ghacks got their info from a reddit post
Link should have been updated with original source.

You even called it a product, which it's not.
The article above was talking about you. You can't even conceive that it's different.
Have zero cloud dependence. Nobody has my data but me. I pay nothing and give up nothing.
My phone is a linux box. I can ssh to it any time I want to get a shell. It has a permanent reverse ssh shell and OpenVPN connection out to my other systems. And no, this has almost no impact on power usage (if done correctly).
Real filesystem access without restrictions. This allows for full rsync backups and restores of any app and any data on the phone. I built a script that lets me easily backup and restore individual apps and even move/copy apps between Android devices. I also sync a variety of files on a regular basis (music, pictures, ebooks,...)
tcpdump to capture packets. I actually do this every couple of weeks/months, but it's not something I do regularly.
Call recording that actually works is impossible without root. skvalex is the best.
Adblocking, Bouncer, real screenshots in any app, real firewalling, disabling Doze and other stupid power savings that breaks shit, and a lot more.
By using that unrooted custom ROM, it's not like root doesn't exist anymore, you just don't have it. The people who built the ROM have root, not you. They own your phone. It's their phone, not yours.
Having access to a root shell isn't bad, or dangerous, or a security risk. Not having means not having ownership of the device.
This is because of the proprietary closed-source blobs needed to make many newer cameras work. Lineage can't redistribute that code or they would get into legal shit.
If this is happening so often, then you are clearly doing something wrong and people are picking up on it.
Also, like everyone else said, reddit is basically idiots arguing with other idiots. There's almost no value there anymore.
I think this is it but it's been forever.

Note that biot.com link above is now dead, but they previously had a nice big table of devices and info. Might want to check wayback machine for that.
Amazon could score an easy win and force a lot of Boox owners into their direction by getting an import ban on Onyx devices.

It's off T-Mobile's network. Latency sucks unless you are close to the IP gateway they use (Chicago I think) but when shit's down and needs to get fixed it works.
