The author, cookieguy when challenged about these claims starts deleting tweets/comments they have made.

It seems an awful lot to me that the cookieguy is drumming all this up on purpose to get peoples attention or sympathy, etc like you suggest may be the case. Some of the screenshots I've seen where he goes on huge rants that make little sense tell me the guy may have some mental issues.

Anyone else tie their shoes once, just enough to fit but just enough to slide on and off? I tuck the exposed parts back under the laced part to keep them safe and out of the way.

I cannot imagine having to tie shoes several times a week let alone several times a day. Seems like a waste of time.

I cant remember the name, but there was a GNU replacement for flash, I believe one of the rules to contributing was that you had not ever even used Adobe Flash before.

Back around 2007 I used it for a while, it mostly worked okay but always came across things it wouldn't work with and went crawling back.

I think all 5000 of them are busy "moderating" complaints. My account was suspended for 7 days for telling a youtuber (one I'd spoken with back and forth many times) that she had some clothes fluff in her armpit on pic she posted. Apparently that falls under harassment of a sexual nature and my appeal was denied within 15 minutes.

I used berol handwriting pens when I was 4 or 5 years old and they are still my pen of choice today.

I live in the UK and always since I can remember (27yrs) pencils have always been red or the red/yellow and black striped ones. In fact the only yellow ones I remeber seeing have always been the packs of very cheap poor quality ones.

Have you considered that you have been downvoted because your response to a simple and clearly trying-to-be-helpful comment was quite frankly autistic bordering on aggressive for no clear reason.

I picked up a Lumia 535 cheap mid/late 2015 and am still using it today, with W10, like a dream. I love how simple it is compared to when I see family members and they throw their phone at me wanting me to have a look at it to fix something.

I spend 2 hours yesterday morning trying to get screenshots off of my mothers Samsung galaxy something-or-other android phone and the thing is just a complete mess, photos stored in 3 separate places, some pictures in one place but not another, some available but when trying to BT to me her phone "cant fetch" the photos.. I almost had a breakdown. She also had a malware problem about half a year ago where when she turned on wifi it was uploading for hours sucking up the entire internet connection and my brother couldn't play his online games. Could not find out what was uploading or where it was uploading to but it required a complete reset. Even when working correctly she cant do tasks because she is at times bombarded with notifications from apps that fill her screen up and just seem to stress her out.

Problems like this are common with my family and mother unfortunately, she had a windows phone (back when it was Nokia making them) and never had issues apart from "lack of apps" which is why she switched when her contract allowed.

MPC-BE has several active devs with years of regular work being committed and looks a lot nicer which is reason enough for people to prefer it. Over the past year the activity of users has shifted from mpc-hc to mpc-be it seems, at least on the doom9 forums.

What I would love to see is someone make a nice Windows GUI player based on mpv but depending on your hardware mpv can be a real PITA to get working smoothly without experimenting with various backends so you don't have dropped frames or really fucked up output (my igpu notebook when using my desktops config just produced a green and LSD-trip style static image).

It's been on GitHub for years...

To me the issue with the GPL is that it is incredibly dated; it was designed for the time back when the users were more often than not a developer. Things change in 30 years and the GPL has completely failed to adapt IMO.

I see far more MIT and Apache than all version of the GPL these days, especially since I gave up on GNU/Linux distributions (and helping out working on them) on the desktop a few years ago.
