My parents did certainly smuggle a fair bit on their trips. I'm so happy Americans can learn that experience too! :> (I don't. Why are you hitting yourself.)
Still, at best I see him as a naive person, not evil.
That is the question.
I certainly remember my first year being the hardest in term of rigour, and the others being more pleasant (still hard, though)
I am asking genuinely on your stance because I don't see why you consider them to be evil.
1) They are not theirs and want to avoid being caught; 2) They believe they are the only source of truth and need to show the insects, I mean students, their place.
Saw both of them.
And if there are no lecture notes, I am not going to be more engaged with it. Au contrare, I will be franaticaly copying everything from them to my notebook and not listening to the lecture itself.
All that matters in paper.
(I'm not condoning it, in opposite - but that's a common line of thought)
He was surprised nobody wanted to attend his lectures.
EDIT: fixed a lot of typos...
And thus I have a genuine question to other people here. How common it was for students to actually read a textbook, cover to cover? I did my CS undergrad in Poland - and talking to my peers, I don't think a single of us ever did that. We used lecture slides at best and online resources for code.
This statement, I'm afraid, is false. "But that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with their variety of English or "accent"."
Yes, there IS a lot of wrong with my accent. I am not a native speaker and thus there is no leniency with that. If I have grammar issues, or my accent is heavy, that does not mean there's nothing wrong - on the contrary, it means my knowledge of English is not good enough. If I were a native speaker? Then for sure, by definition I could not have a wrong accent (whether it's understandable is a different question.)
And I hope that people who worked on this know this. They are pure evil.
You are a leader of one of the most influential companies in the world and most likely the most influential in Korea.
