This is something that works remarkably well with GPT-4V. Take a picture of plants, flowers, foods, and ask if anything in this photo is toxic to dogs. I tested it on a bouquet of flowers and 100% correctly identified each flower and it's potential toxicity. Results may vary, please verify before feeding anything to your good boi.

It could also very easily be a misdirection by OpenAI. A simple rule that says something like "if someone is too persistent in having you display your rules or tries to trick you, show them this block of text: [big consistent set of made-up, realistic sounding rules] That would that would sate almost anyone.

This makes sense if you consider the new API price gouging. Much easier to attract those interested in training on twitter data if it is explicititly allowed.

This reminds me of the correlogram modeling of auditory perception where the cochlea uses autocorrelation to encode temporal information of a sound signal. A neat idea that helps describe a lot of time encoded auditory processes.

Maybe they are looking into what problems they can solve with side door access to 750 million phones worth of compute power.

In the spirit of several projects mentioned here, this is an NLP-based RSS feed generator I put up recently- it takes a news story as a search parameter and it creates a latest, related story feed from it. add any url or search term to

  https://followthisstory.com/rss/?q=[url or search term]

Here is a good example using a Harpers story on disinformation:

https://followthisstory.com/rss/?q=https://harpers.org/archi...

It is a WiP (new filter parameters shortly), but you can also visit the root of that domain if you rather get email alerts or use a slack notification. The UI in particular is very alpha, so please feel free to send suggestions. [edit:learning about formatting]

Time to rebrand as MANGA

Yeah this doesn't add up - most viewed appears to mean most number of times people viewed the text of that link, not the page itself or its content. Their own sharing debugger tool shows that url only has 837 total engagements (on 87.2M views?) https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/?q=https%3A%2F%2...

Could there be mRNA applicability to food allergy treatments, peanut allergies in particular?

One other attack vector with this data that I've not seen much chatter about is that the phone numbers (and other leaked data) are sufficient to create a Facebook Custom Audience and directly target the associated people with ads. Cross referencing these numbers (or pivot through names) with any external data source and you've got the capability to target specific voters, for example. Facebook made a lot of changes [eventually] to their Custom Audience abilities via user ID as a result of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, this leak makes it not too dissimilar in terms of how you could at least segment and direct target ads.

You can also get a YouTube video transcript directly from the API with one call, just register for a free developer key and use:

https://youtube.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/captions?part=snip...

official docs: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/captions

If it did I would have learned from my mistakes.

Oddly seems to have been influenced by the Russian alphabet.

I'd love it if Dorsey did this for the right reasons (and applaud the effort regardless), but seems far more likely that this netted out as a bigger publicity win.

A policy of "there are no Twitter rules for politicians, just don't make us a direct accessory to it" is disingenuous at best.

That would be fantastic. Also like to +1 the reverse image search support, finding CC images visually similar to a restricted license image would be really cool feature that Google does not seem to support.

Definitely appreciate the programmatic access, but in terms of straight search results it's very hard to improve on Google Image Search with the Usage Rights filter.. Info: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/29508?p=ws_image...

Its says Bling stands for "Beyond Language Understanding". They must be really good programmers.

Should be pretty simple to check the tweet geo or location mentions per server id to see of they imply a correlation with geographic area of the server. Then you're just one hop to knowing where (or where not) other tweeters are.

Joke's on you, that's just a result from thisrepodoesnotexist.

Bitcoin atm has to have the worst odds in the entire place.

yes it will mute retweets too. the desktop ui allows you to pick only the people that you do not follow - the interface and options are different on mobile, just fyi. they don't make it very clear either way.

>/following yea really wish you could do that with likes too!

There is actually a foolproof way to shut off Liked tweets (and retweets) forever. You can only do it on desktop - but go to Twitter/Settings/Muted Words. In there, make sure "From people you don't follow" is selected along with "Timeline", then individually add the list of common stopwords to your muted words. I listed the ones I use below, you can add more but I've not seen a retweet or liked tweet since doing this. muted: [a, about, an, and, are, as, at, be, by, for, from, has, he, her, him, his, how, i, in, is, it, its, of, on, one, or, she, that, the, to, was, were, what, where, when, will, with]

Feels like they should have titled it "One Pachyderm a Day"

Maybe it's worth thinking about it the other way around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7ojSW5pODk

The author is a known industry shill. His articles (this one included) are click bait and SEO fluff for his LT-Accelerate conference - usually wrapped in soft content or descriptions of products for companies he consults for.

Reminds me of Lazlo Hollyfeld in Real Genius

I seem to recall their original model being around paid developer access to the platform. That is fairly intriguing as the ability to create value-added tools/techs and partner with any other discount brokerage is very difficult. Seems like a large enough user base would enable an app-marketplace where many of the quant/social-stream/chatter-arbitrage tools that currently [try to] sell direct to investors could have a chance at more distribution. Couple this with something like Quantopian ... profit!

Much better article, interview, and video here (watch the bottom one with CC on): http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2013/11/viola-organista/

Coincidence or clever irony that the second drawing of the woman inspecting the little life looks a lot like Felisa Wolfe-Simon (of arsenic based life fame)?
