Those roadside merchants will never pay tax as they don't make enough.
Internet connectivity/density is a joke in this country.
Everyone is using cash again and you have to still pay bribes.
Its time we tell the Emperor; The Emperor has no clothes!

I rest my case.
It has Flexbox!!! Although our team has added additional classes to get some of the UI done, I am sure, we could have done it using only Bootstrap. We get lazy :P.
The primary reason I like Bootstrap is because of the semantics. Columns are col, Tables are table, Cards are etc. Primary is main action, Danger is error etc. etc. As they say in UX, "Don't make me think!"

The block has been implemented using a hosts based method. Such methods work in HTTP as anyone on the network can intercept the traffic and modify it. This snooping is not possible in HTTPS, hence the word secure.
(Update: The above statement is misleading. Please read TallGuyShort's comment for clarity).
This kind of block sometimes take time to propagate given how our ISP networks are setup. The blockage can be implemented at any level. ISP, acquiring ISP, backbone etc.
But even HTTPS can get blocked via DNS provided you are using a DNS which is under the influence of DoT. Most internet users use Google DNS(8.8.8.8) or OpenDNS(208.67.222.222) or Berkeley DNS (4.2.2.2) as their DNS (They have fallback ips also). This is set in your network adapter settings or router settings. They are not under the influence of the DoT. I am not sure if there is a DNS block as I use Google DNS.
Also, IP based blockage is possible which restricts access to HTTPS sites but it is not the case here.
Censorship is no solution to piracy or terrorism. Burying your head in the sand doesn't solve the problem.
Edit: Updated to read TallGuyShort's comment.

The alt tags are VERY important for SEO purposes.
Agree, that its not the first thing you should focus on. But saying you should not do it is what I was protesting.
When you run your site through speed analysis tools like the site posted or WebPageTest(my favourite), you do get a set of tasks based on priority and removing exif data is generally low and I am not advocating against that.
Which is the case for listing pages of e-commerce sites, video sites, social networks etc.
As a frontend engineer, I find every way to achieve my goals as every ms matters :).
When your site has a large audience, every microsecond counts. Especially when you don't have someone bankrolling for your traffic. Speed plays an important part for SEO and UX.
Also unless you have a fast website, people will drop off your site and google won't rank you. No point of having great images with good EXIF data if people never see the image.
For photography websites, it does make sense to keep it but in general no point wasting those extra bytes which add upto GBs in wasted bandwidth.

Working on an automation system for the house using ESP8266 behind every socket and learning Elixir, React Native, etc. along the way.
I also get to work on Self-Driving Cars, Hydroponics and other stuff I like.
This would not have been possible if I was stuck at a 9-5. I work remotely and independently.
Tim did Tango and Vagabonding because maybe thats what made him happy. Being a te(/a)cky guy I am doing all things geeky to make me happy. :)
Marketing automation is already here and its only going to get bigger and better. The sales and marketing teams will shrink to 1-2 persons even for large corporations. They will make us more efficient.
In my experience, face time matters if you are from place no one knows about. There is a reason most engineering talent is in and around Silicon Valley.
I am not sure about github or other technical profiles as the people who make the decision of hiring you never visit github or understand code. I am taking about the CEO of a small company who will hire you and not the cool SF startup that we read more often.
Companies want to reduce risk, remote increases it because of the unknowns. If I were you, I would again start with upwork and similar freelancing sites. The shady things you hear are distractions and everyone has a different experience. There is a reason the upworks of today still exist and are doing business.
I wish you the best! :)
Driverless cars or rather augmented driving will save lives but the minister doesn't care for those. Driverless cars will create more jobs in engineering, training and monitoring because driverless cars will not come one fine day but over a period of 10 years.
As someone who is working on self driving tech, this saddens me.
India needs more eyes on this problem because of our roads and our bad traffic sense. The fact that we don't drive on the same side of the road as the western world means their tech won't be adaptable directly. So much potential and opportunity but I guess the minister wants us to keep doing the cheap menial jobs.
