To tell the truth, I've got no idea. I'm just spitting ideas out.

Shamiqon Ask HN: Should I remove the level limit in the DropZap web demo?

So I played a couple rounds of the game just now to get a feel for it. Could you do a timed variant of the game? As in free play on level 1 for N amount of time?

EDIT

Here's a link to the demo: http://dropzap.appspot.com/

Haha...I feel on the internet, anything that wasn't yesterday or today was a while ago.

Shamiqon Ask HN: Is there an easy way to post to Facebook as you can to twitter?

Clicking the little bookmarklet in my browser pops up a window that allows me to add a message. I would say make the bookmarklet, click it, then see what message it sends to the server.

Shamiqon Ask HN: Is there an easy way to post to Facebook as you can to twitter?

Bookmarklet for Sharing on Facebook (I guess that one is FF specific):

  javascript:var%20d=document,f='http://www.facebook.com/share,l=d.location,e=encodeURIComponent,p=.php?src=bm&v=4&i=1255717032&u=+e(l.href)+&t=+e(d.title);1;try{if%20(!/^(.*\.)?facebook\.[^.]*$/.test(l.host))throw(0);share_internal_bookmarklet(p)}catch(z)%20{a=function()%20{if%20(!window.open(f+'r'+p,'sharer','toolbar=0,status=0,resizable=1,width=626,height=436'))l.href=f+p};if%20(/Firefox/.test(navigator.userAgent))setTimeout(a,0);else{a()}}void(0)

I need some kind of controller I can mount the iPhone to -- maybe better speakers, a d-pad, a couple buttons, extended battery pack.

I would pay for that (maybe you could even bundle some games with it!).

Shamiqon SF author Greg Egan reviews Avatar

You get my up-vote. Only a few more days before the SO and I can get out to the theater.

And I'll give you a few more lines so that it'll cover larger screens (i've got 1200 pixels to make up for).

That's a pretty sweeping generalization there. If you could substantiate it more, I might like to hear what you have to say.

Shamiqon Data-Oriented Design (Why You Might Be Shooting Yourself in The Foot With OOP)

Why bother with the acronyms? Just look at the problem and figure out a beautiful solution. It's a lot tougher than just picking a design philosophy, but the result justifies the mental effort.
