Do you recommend the instance you are on? I am looking to join, but the English speaking instance list was smallish, and I was having trouble choosing.

What is a sea-lion attack in this context? I haven't heard that one before, and it's not the easiest to search.

Though this is relevant in the USA, not Italy, confirm whether your state has single or dual party consent laws for recording prior to implementing this if you want to use it in any sort of legal proceedings.

You can manually tag photos and identify people, though the UI flow is not the most convenient. (I've been trying it put for a couple months.)

The problem with that is that it assumes both that the people giving the score are good, unbiased actors who agree with your assessment of what is appropriate, and that bad actors will be unable to game the system.

Even in a well-designed system, both of those will be suspect.

Can I ask which translation of Journey to the West you read? I've been planning to read it, but there are a lot of options.

I then use adblock and sponsorblock on YouTube. It seems like a good balance to me.

I can also vouch for Gadgetbridge being a great option.

We maintain a central list [1] of content that various members have archived, so that when content is removed from YouTube, people can direct inquiries to contributors who have archived that content.

It's a small way to keep track of what things have been successfully archived, and sometimes direct efforts to preserve specific content.

Another open source option is espeak[1], though it isn't substantially better than flite, in my experience.

Abstract:

This is a review of Ibn al Quff's account of surgical pain relief in his surgical book Al Omdah, in which he mentioned the word anesthetic (Al moukhadder) and the involvement of physician (al tabbaaee) to give mixture of drugs to prevent pain in a surgical condition to relieve the patient from pain or to make surgical management possible. Hich indicated one rare occasion to such description in Arabic medical texts. Methods of administration of these drugs were inhalation, ingestion and by rectal suppositories. The drugs used in anesthetic sponges include all the drugs that are recorded in the modern literature of anesthesia. They are as follows: opium, mandrake, Hyocymus albus, belladonna, Cannabis sativus, Cannabis indica, wild lettuce. The anesthetic sponge, mentioned in many references as an inhalation method, may be of symbolic value to surgery.

I was unfamiliar with "wild lettuce", but apparently its secretions are somewhat similar in effect to opium.
