There are better ways to protest than violating a legally binding agreement - seems more like an emotional reaction than a properly thought through protest.
Not really a reasonable comparison - paid labour is more likely linked to income that is used for basic necessities, whereas volunteering implies freely offering to take part in an enterprise/task - thus no consequence for just choosing not to partake. Honestly seems like a bit of an emotional overreaction.
Exactly this for me as well - think people really underestimate how fast it allows you to iterate through prototyping. It's not outsourcing your thinking, it's more that it can generate a lot of the basics for you so you can infer the missing parts and tweak to suit your needs.
As someone not in accountancy but having worked in corporate and been forced to work on accounting software for managing budgets, approving transactions etc. - you have really gotten the short end of the stick from general usability perspective. There are so many things that don't make sense - even for the accountants that use the system on day-to-day basis - they have workarounds for (what I would consider) the most basic of things (or over-complicated solutions for something basic like manager approvals for logging expenses - why do I have to click through several screens that don't follow any sort of clear, logical flow). And it's so embedded in an organization - that you can rest assured once that client is signed up they're not switching that system. Same for HR software...
Agreed on this - think wayve is attempting this - building out the tech to license to manufacturers. Honestly makes the most sense and love the idea that all cars can have this and take over driving in specific areas.
This is a brilliant view and probably applies to most situations when a person has to process something - not just government and not just Germany. Very, very few people outright don't want to help - if you come in trying to be the light in their day, they'll WANT to help you get your things done quickly and efficiently, and vice versa.
A kind reminder, thanks @niemandhier
So my situation is I bought a house here, still paying off the bond, so selling is not really an option at the moment (haven't paid off that much and no one wants to buy a house in an area where there will be no water)
Not really a situation where I can just cut my losses (buying a house is a lot of debt) and go
I found workout regimes with this very useful (as you mentioned body weight training), along with a reasonable diet plan:

Can't say anything about results yet, but I think I'm on my way to getting there.
I would suppose that Apple is well within its rights to order the withdrawal as the bank is trying to leverage technology of said company. Why would it be considered anti-competitive?
Looks pretty awesome. If I have to criticize the "Add a Startup" button bothers me a bit, its placement is a bit off. It feels like it should be a bit lower and more in line with the rest of the page.
If the other cars on the road are self driving cars as well they could all communicate and take into account the one car moving to avoid the object in the road, thereby also reducing the chance of damage to the vehicle swerving to avoid the object
