IMO, OP’s predictions may be safe, but that says more about reality than OP’s lack of imagination.
Moreover, the reason is almost certainly related to Apple not wanting to proliferate Nvidia’s tools and instead force developers to use their Metal API. AFAIK Apple’s even abandoned OpenCL on macOS.
There is no business model. Uber doesn’t have anything unique, least of all self-driving tech. There won’t be any sort of sticky network effect since consumers can simply switch to a different ride hailing app with the lowest price. When (if?) AVs become reality, the car manufacturers themselves can become their own Ubers or AV-subscription service with no need for a middle man.
And what does it mean to build an entire skyscraper for themselves? I thought these things were leased out by floor to multiple companies.
This is such an un-Apple-like UX. Idk if they signed a long-running contract with Yelp out of desperation when Apple Maps launched forcing it to be this way, but if not, then their insistence on this experience is truly dumbfounding.
Edit: I see you’ve tested it yourself.
Of course, increasing housing density highlights other problems: terrible traffic and poor public transportation. We’d need to make large investments in both housing and transportation infrastructure if we’re ever going to make headway in the CoL problem.
1. Have you considered some way to add Instapaper-like parsing and highlighting into your service? It isn't cheap paying for two subscriptions with Instapaper reverting back to a $30/year subscription for my internet highlighting/notes plus your subscription.
2. From the website, it seems like you already have spaced repetition. What are you hoping to add?
3. What spacing repetition algorithm are you using? SM?
