One day when I'm deemed a 'Baddie', I looked at Apple as inspiration.
Lol
Their marketing team got ya.
I aspire to be as good as Apple at marketing. Who knew 2nd or worse place in everything doesnt matter when you are #1 in marketing?
I did try using python and js but the variable explorer is garbage due to 'late binding'.
I thought this was just my ignorance, but I've asked experts, AI, and google searched and they unfortunately agree. That said, some people have created their own log/prints so they don't need to deal with it.
Its a tax on not being smart?
I'm mostly kidding, but I just use ublock and I've never considered buying youtube premium. Try harder google?
I was such a proponent.
If I'm entirely reading code for bugs, then using voice to text to the AI to correct the problem... What typing am I doing?
Still love the idea of Vim.
Take the startup situation:
We were unprofitable year 1, we were break even year 2. Year 3 we look to repay investors and begin fun times. Year 4, fun times.
I suppose I can think of enough exceptions that I reject the theory the original OP posted.
(As I get older, unironically. I want my productive worker bees to be drug free, addiction free, enjoying simple pleasures that do not put me at risk. They pay Social Security. Everything is nice and safe. Freedom? Yeah no thanks, get to work and pay your taxes.)
They talk about how great Europe is, how they like their 1-2 hour coffee/smoke breaks... These kind of moves give me that same vibe.
But why are so many Europeans trying to move to the US? Why isn't the opposite happening?
My hypothesis is that these kind of popular policies are short sighted. They are super popular, they use intuition and feeling. But maybe there is something missing. The unadulterated freedom has led people to enjoy these platforms. Obviously it affects the economy. So much so, even the US military has moved from Europe to Asia.
I don't typically like fiction, but it seems "I, Robot" was spot on about Europe. (Maybe mistaking new Africa for Asia)
Okay read it: Yep Induction. It already had the answer.
Don't get me wrong, I love Induction... but we aren't having any revolutions in understanding with Induction.
I was looking for solutions.
So how many days does your battery last? No that isnt a good question, How often do you run out of battery? No that isnt a good question, android users aren't running out of battery.
How did Apple convince you this mattered?
On desktop? Uh... There is a reason Nvidia is #1. Wake me up when I can get Nvidia on Apple.
I see this in middle and lower-middle class people.
But in the upper-middle class, this is a non issue. We know how Apple manipulates people who struggle to spend $50/mo on a phone.
They have been last to get Widgets. They don't have apps I use (terminals, emulators, pulse wave generators). Not to mention Gemini AI is actually really nice for scanning a screen and doing actions with it.
Apple is always 2nd place or worse. Except marketing, they are #1.
>I caved to the blue bubble pressure
This is basically how I view iphone users. They buy an inferior product because Apple exploited their lack of status. From moms, to teens, to low-middle income people... Heck, its even infected some perpetually single techies who are so insecure they buy the inferior Apple product.
These companies that exploit such psychology is disgusting. From Apple to Nintendo to Disney, there is something that feels immoral about how they market to their customers.
And you bet they have contracted out some marketing team to patrol every social media to downvote/upvote/comment as 'reputation management'...But hey they contracted them, plausible deniability.
The poor area? Bad tipping.
Middle class? Depends on the person
Upper middle class? Big bucks.
I'm literally 0 for 3 on those claims. Not sure how you have such experiences. Maybe its a choice of words 'Many many' could be like 20 places out of 10,000. Maybe 'feels very fake' is something that isn't actually a problem, and might be a benefit, so I didn't notice it. And that last line about 'not their table'... I can't say I've ever experienced it.
You want to feel like a burden when you go out to eat, eat in Italy.
In the US, the servers are dancing excited for you to be there.
I have emotional reactions when people are trying to mislead me. I have the same when I hear populist demagogues lie on TV.
Evolution or something.
I had ChatGPT tell me I was imagining an HR problem related to the women.
Grok got them right. My executive team got them right.
I'm not defending Elon, but after those 2 chatGPT failings due to moral coating, I unsubscribed and got Claude.
Cool you found a system that works for you.
I don't get flustered by chaos, and cleaning/organizing is a waste of time.
Wat
But seriously... Wat?
Do you realize what you said?
But for some reason people buy new nice vehicles and don't buy crappy new vehicles...
Your after market has not been tested to react with sunscreen.
Then you had wiring each button wire I believe was $1. This wasnt 1 wire, but a few wires, power, ground, signal. Each button had them. This wasnt my job, so I didn't follow this price too much, but I asked the question at the time. I think going into the ECU, there is also a cost associated with it.
Anyway, you could assume 10 years ago, each button was $2. A car has 40-70 buttons? So its probably like $100 a car. Maybe $150 or $200 in today's money.
Also buttons and wires break, causing warranty problems.
At the time these vehicles were selling for under $20k at the bottom, and $40k at the top. So 1% of costs were buttons.
This doesn't even include the cost of hiring ~20 engineers to handle the buttons. ~6 people to check appearance and do testing... It doesn't include the assembly costs on the line. That 1% was just the cost of button + wire.
