NewsReader42··on New website for Duda I/O
Broke, unless it's meant to look like that.... I think not!
NewsReader42··on CSS tips and tricks #2-Custom form design
More bad advice.

Dude STOP messing with the CSS global namespace - i/e stop advising people to change the default behaviours of ALL forms / divs site wide - it has FAR REACHING implications that you're not passing on to unfortunate readers of your blog.

NewsReader42··on How to disable directory listing using PHP
Wow, did you really post this?

Is this not one of the most fundamental things to learn with PHP?

NewsReader42··on Full-screen stacked navigation tutorial
More bad over qualified CSS. Dude please STOP giving BAD advice, your terrible code is polluting the internet, people are finding your blog posts and thinking that your way is the correct way to do things.

PLEASE STOP

NewsReader42··on Overriding CSS rules
p {color:black;} is NOT the best option at all. It makes EVERY OTHER paragraph in your entire web application need to either be black or take on a class to override the default.

Stop giving people BAD advice, you're polluting the internet.

NewsReader42··on Show HN: Static web hosting, CMS, and now blogging
Classnames cannot begin with a digit, an oversight these bafoons have not clicked on yet

They claim fast - all of the websites in "Powered by" are painfully slow.
NewsReader42··on The Myth of Schema-less
And for dynamic services that just accept data that has to be highly scalable - how does your RANT handle that?

Dismissing something because you have not found a need for it in the past and don't currently have a need for it is a pretty poor excuse for that drivel I have just read.

Kudos for wasting 5 minutes of my life

NewsReader42··on Evermore, hosted WordPress with power and ease of use

NewsReader42··on Evermore, hosted WordPress with power and ease of use
LOL, you can't even get your own website working properly (evermore)

And you mention "Fast loading" - that and wordpress do not belong in the same domain.

NewsReader42··on Ask HN: What's relevant to Google Search ranking anymore?
The other main trouble is that if one of these large sites scrapes your OWN unique content (lets say a blog post) and has it on their site Google will treat the larger site as the OWNER of that content due to it's higher rank / reputation leaving your OWN site getting penalised (or at least not ranked) for DUPE content - this is something that needs fixing
NewsReader42··on Optimizely Raises $57 Million
Shame they can't get their website to work in FF 29...
NewsReader42··on The next version of DuckDuckGo
The DDG team still cannot get the simple concept of seraching correct. We have had a website online for 3 years, every other major search engine finds and ranks it accordingly yet DDG doesn't even include it in their results.

If they're missing our own website from results how many other websites are missing from results which ends up not giving the user the BEST choice of options when performing a search.

NewsReader42··on A Pattern for Writing CSS to Scale
You say to nest your styles but that over-qualifies the CSS and drops performance for the sake of readability....

How is that CSS at scale?

NewsReader42··on MySQL vs MongoDB vs NuoDB vs Amisa Server features comparison
