While I 100% agree with your pragmatic view. It's bad that these commitment indicators are used to finance conflicts.

This doesn't make any sense. Smartphones are completely different devices than PCs. They shouldn't even be compared.

Good thing is just that we can do so much more on a smartphone that we needed a PC before, and by that, I mean sitting in a desk.

And no, smartphones aren't for media creation OR consumption. Smartphones are for interpersonal communication first.

Simple: hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL.

Because Swift was designed to be easy to pick up by most programmers. And those are used to curly braces, from JavaScript, to languages that they teach in college, like Java, PHP, C, etc...
