Micrococonut··on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
Every single lightning cable I've ever owned developed a black corrosion on a pin that prevented it from working. Every. single. one. You cannot claim that lightning is durable. It's completely farcical.
Micrococonut··on The feds asked TikTok for lots of domestic spying features
What about with good outcomes?
Micrococonut··on The Facebook Logout – We're over Facebook
Literally. What a silly website. If they actually wanted to affect anything they should be encouraging people to delete their accounts.
Micrococonut··on So you want to compete with Roblox
Garry Newman, creator of Garry's Mod, is taking a shot at it https://sbox.facepunch.com/. If anybody is going to succeed in dethroning Roblox, it's Facepunch.
Micrococonut··on Yale scientists make a borophene breakthrough
Not a very valuable comment, but I found the line "...we can now think about stabilizing for literally numerous applications" was hilarious.
Micrococonut··on ‘Gaming disorder’ is officially recognized by the World Health Organization
No I'm horribly addicted to them. I'm just honest about the reality.

True thanks for pointing that out. I'm addressing this as a self identified video game addict. I feel that pull to play in my brain every day. I just try to not live in denial telling myself that spending all my time gaming is a healthy and constructive way to spend my time.

I've seen this behavior in my peers and in myself. Almost always among the addicts like myself you get two responses. "Yea no doubt lmao" or an exhaustive list of other addictions like television, cigarettes, Facebook, etc. trying to rationalize it to you and themselves. I'd like to point out in these cases it is far beyond a hobby. It is self-destructive. Going a day or more without eating or sleeping. Pulling an all-nighter because you just cant seem to get away from it. I've literally seen league of legends ruin a friends future because he couldn't study over getting in just-one-more-match. In my perspective video game addiction is an undeniable truth. And those vehemently opposed usually have a self-image interest in opposing it.

This is really funny. How much have you "innovated" while gaming? You are living under the thumb of entertainment media already. You're trapped in your time waster instead of innovating.
Micrococonut··on ‘Gaming disorder’ is officially recognized by the World Health Organization
Good point. But I think the reactions are pretty telling that there is a real problem.
Micrococonut··on Trump directs establishment of U.S. force to dominate space
Not wanting to have a space war is sensible and fine. Your original post was pretentious and silly.

Gamers are so sensitive about their addiction. Like an alcoholic being called out.
Micrococonut··on Trump directs establishment of U.S. force to dominate space
We already have weapons in space! You are misusing the term militarization of space. An ICBM can travel across the world and blow up a city on the other side of the planet. Whatever line you are afraid of crossing, we've already crossed it.
Micrococonut··on Trump directs establishment of U.S. force to dominate space
No I went from your insane raving about the raping and enslaving of space rocks, to saying that space commercialization is an eventuality and it's part of the government's job to protect property rights.

We are going to have a space capable military, but that doesn't mean we are 'militarizing space'. We aren't putting nukes in geostationary orbit above China or building rail-guns on the moon.

Micrococonut··on Trump directs establishment of U.S. force to dominate space
Not sure what part of that prohibits the space force. I don't think I'm being naive, I think you are being ignorant. You're a fool if you think we're going to be fighting wars on other planets within 100 years. Also, if we have any plans of extracting resources from space there is no future where there aren't claims made on extraterrestrial bodies. Thinking that space bodies shouldn't be able to be owned is antiquated thinking.
Micrococonut··on Trump directs establishment of U.S. force to dominate space
waxing poetic much. It’s separating space operations of the USAF into it’s own branch. Trump isn’t trying to “rape and enslave” the moon. I think you might be projecting.

So people shouldn't be allowed to smoke if they want to?
Micrococonut··on Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning (2010)
Yea but that's the difference between knows-how-to-swim and being a strong swimmer. If she was a strong swimmer she would be in control of her body after something as trivial as flipping out of a tube.
Micrococonut··on Young Chinese are sick of working long hours
Why would you assume that what he is being paid is his current market value? It's entirely possible that he is being paid well under his market value, thus creating feelings of being underpaid.
Micrococonut··on 'The Gig Economy' Is the New Term for Serfdom
Maybe people should increase their human capital by perhaps developing some sort of valuable skill. The fact is their skills are practically worthless because almost every adult can do what they do. Instead of crying that their so-easy-a-caveman-could-do-it job driving a car isn't making them enough money, they should do something else that generates more value and thus pays them more.

I am a university CS student and my microprocessor course has us learning assembly. The concepts I learned in TIS-100 are definitely making it easier to grasp how things work at the most fundamental level. It might not have taught me x86 assembly, but it taught the basics like moving data between registers and working with only the most basic instructions. Still found it very useful.
Micrococonut··on Japan’s labor market is tight, and higher wages may be needed to retain workers
It is my understanding that "love" (the Western standard of Romantic love) isn't as important as building a stable relationship piece by piece in non-Western cultures.
