I agree with most of what you're saying but some java applets were quite big, just not for everyone. RuneScape is the first that comes to mind, some websites that had lots of flash games also had quite a few java applet games, although I don't remember their names. There was also a google-earth-like program that ran in an applet, although I don't remember its name.
And risk having to go to court over whether it really is unfit? That's not something they should decide, that's something that regulators should have stopped before the car was even put on the market in the first place.
Have you tried oh-my-zsh? It's what got me to install zsh on all my servers, even at work. Just run their setup script, let it change your default shell and set your preferred theme in the config.
Wouldn't that mean that I can login with any two keys? So instead of laptop+yubikey I could login with the keys from two laptops? Or from two yubikeys?
I've also had this issue multiple times where ChatGPT provides a flawed answer, is able to identify the flaw when asked but "corrects" it in such a way that the original answer is not changed. I've tried this for code it wrote, for comments on my code and for summaries of texts that I provided.
Blaming the safe driving of Germans on the danger of the Autobahn just baffles me. The driving style of Germans has everything to do with the process of obtaining a driving license in Germany as well as the strict (and properly enforced) traffic laws and harsh fines - most violations will get you points towards losing your license and in some extreme cases you might even be barred from obtaining a new driving license after losing yours. All that creates an environment where driving is viewed as an activity that requires a lot of attention and farsightedness. Being able to drive fast on the Autobahn has nothing to do with it simply because this driving style not only applies to the Autobahn but also to cities and smaller country roads.
I always see gifts as recommendations. You don't need to have expertise to know about something that is more valuable than expected and that the person would not have bought for themselves. And the best gifts that I (or others around me) have received are things that turned out better than expected.
Or just have a lower fine that increases exponentially every time it occurs. That would make it easier for small companies to compete which would otherwise just have to go bankrupt on the first violation.
Those who said that do not know the torrent protocol which is why the onion project even had to issue a statement on why using torrents over Tor is not secure.
I'm using namespaced-openvpn to restrict transmission to one network and you could limit the amount of concurrently active files to one, effectively downloading them sequentially. Or do you want to download each file sequentially?
