Is it a safe bet that we can rely on the cloud to have capacity? Normally I wouldn't doubt it but in this sort of situation is becomes more likely they will be put under capacity stress.
Will the cloud vendors learn and build slack in? I think they're very lean operations and maybe this kind of slack would damage the profitability too much.
If the cloud vendors can't guarantee capacity ( I suspect this will be the conclusion ) then what does they mean for our DR and BCP planning?

I'm curious.. Does Brave have their extensions managed by Google?
Another way they do this is by saying, as in the apology "keep those discussions completely private unless we both agree to share any of it with the community" but they will phrase it as a binding agreement.
Basically you create your tables and run PostGrest. Bam! You have an http interface / api for your database. We would then create light wrappers around those that took on specific responsibilities - security, audit etc. The wrapped apis is what we exposed publicly.
This may not sound all that helpful but it made the bit we implemented unbelievably tiny. As a plus, we found that a Java application that exposes an endpoint and calls an endpoint is fast to start / stop because it doesn't mess around with DB connection pools.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Is taking a sabatical an option for you? You could study or do a course for six months. Stay with the folks while you unwind and re-humanize.
Later, in high school, I learned Delphi and we did Java at Monash University.
I work at a large bank and we've seen the Watson sales pitch every year for four years now. Every time they visit we ask them this question.
It would be great to hear from folks using it.
It is interesting to consider what pivoting actually feels and looks like when you're in the thick of things.
May I ask if others have felt pivoting more palatable because the runway isn't running out?
Looking at the other reviews, it does seem that the company is happy to help with issues even where there is a negative review.
You have just described my role. We're calling ourselves Emerging Technology Specialists for the time being.
If you think you're going to migrate an existing system to DynamoDB, then this is one of the things you need to plan for.
The workarounds for this are rather unappealing, perhaps heretical.
