Microsoft is going to keep caring because the browser has become the most important application on a computer.

If Internet Explorer is garbage then sure the average user could go download a third party browser but they could also just jump ship to a non-Microsoft operating system or device.

The trend over the last couple of years is users just wanting something that works out of the box and if Microsoft wants to keep those users on Windows or other MS devices then IE is going to have to stay competitive.

Time to move my bookmarks from Delicious.

Google Bookmarks looks like a possibility. I don't care that it doesn't have the social thing and I want something with good browser integration.

Does anyone have an working instructions for migrating to Google Bookmarks? Most sites refer to this page which appears to be broken - http://persistent.info/delicious2google/

So have any real world applications successfully used this as a framework?

It looks interesting but I see any moderately complex web app, i.e. more than CRUD, hitting a wall of complexity when using CouchApp as a base. You eliminate so called "fragile custom code" up until the point where the framework doesn't support something and you need the custom code anyway, except now there is the overhead of getting custom code working together with everything else. At which point you wonder what was the point?
