Can you sit in a natural hot spring while doing so, though?

Isn't the point of fines to punish past bad behaviour? Why aren't there escalating fines if a company continues to not comply with rulings? I mean it is not a one time thing that can't be changed.

I live in Paris with an arguably good public transport system in place and Lime scooters were quite popular this summer. This is only anecdotally ofc, but you see a lot of people using them. There are not as many Bird scooters yet though.

Where I see the niche is medium distances were the metro is not a fast solution but if scooters are ubiquitously available for these situations, I see value in them.

And yeah, Tourists seem to love them.

Latin or Romance languages and Germanic languages are quite different though. So Spanish/French/Italian have a lot in common in terms of grammar and vocabulary. Same for Germanic languages like German/Norsk/Swedish/Dutch. These two roots mostly only have some words in common.

What I don't get, isn't GDPR supposed to make tracking opt-in? While most sites just give you the option to opt-out now! Isn't that a violation of GDPR?

You are right, but if you ever been to a country without net neutrality then you will notice that the "free" volume goes down and the facebook/youtube does not count towards the volume. Do it's basically doing exactly what everybody fears. However, if you would charge facebook/google for using the infrastructure it would be another case... But let's be honest, they never let that happen.

One reason might be that air conditioning/flow systems are not very common in Germany an thus you feel the need to create your own air exchange.

One could very much argue that having educated people is more beneficial to the society, and therefore for everyone, than it costs the society. Also educated pay more taxes individually since they usually earn more.

Yeah, I understand your point, but I think something is really wrong when a company is agreeing to pay taxes. Of course you could throw out a sacrificial lamb but that wouldn't change a thing. The way taxes are charged really has to be change for these big companies.

The term "agrees to" really bugs me...

My conception is that in the US big cars like SUVs are much more common than in Europe and these cars have a much higher consumption of gas. That's kind of Europes point of view. Is that correct?
