I had an account way back when and cannot login or reset my password. Furthermore the OAuth flows I tried result in 404.

Awesome to see this published here. There was an episode on the SE Radio podcast about this book.

The author is also a regular host on this show. Highly recommend it.

ESPHome is great! I haven't done much stuff with it aside a few PIR motion/temp/humidity sensors for the house.

Tasmota I use just like said for switches and for that it works very well too.

And thank you for giving us not only pychromecast but home-assistant :)

A community that I've seen doing this pretty well is the Home Assistant community. You might wanna check their examples out.

Your platform changed the way I consumed and discovered music. Now I complemented that with a steaming service but still fall back to BC for some material.

Really digged the job puzzles you had too... even when I wasn't actively looking was fun to solve. Just a shame you're not hiring at the moment.

I did exactly this.

I made a affiliate app to scratch a personal itch for myself.

Basically for generating affiliate URLs and redirecting to the relevant store based on IP Geo location. It's very basic and has only a CLI interface for now but was a good learning with some terraform, ansible, and PHP.

My favourite for this kinda thing was how bandcamp promoted their engineering jobs.

They don't have any at the moment but it was always fun to solve.

Although I haven't touched it for a few weeks I was working on reverse engineering our smart home heating system so that I can integrate it into Home Assistant. Managed to get the auth with their remote systems done and building out the web socket based event bus.

Not sure if I'll ever be able to share it since it feels like this lives in the grey zone legally.

Was there today - it was definitely not in shutdown mode. There was a few people wearing face masks in the airport, some of which were staff of the shops.
