Hurdy··on Google throws open doors to its top-secret data center
Well, it's the first time that there are photos from inside. There's a bigger gallery here: http://www.google.com/about/datacenters/gallery/
Hurdy··on How to use Gmail to destroy your relationship with your investors and customers
This works because this filter will match every mail, not just the mails that have the spam label. In the end it does what you wanted but the error is still right.
Hurdy··on Gmail as a Facade
That's probably just because everything is cached now. Connected apps can't make loading slower.
Hurdy··on Why I Left Google
You don't have to know Java to get hired, any programming language is fine. You do get asked design questions. I think making the leap from these 5 questions to "This is the #1 problem Google has and why they fail at social networks" is a bit far fetched, but it looks like I'm the only one...
Hurdy··on Why I Left Google
Did it ever occur to you that 5 questions at a recruitment desk might not be representative of the whole Google hiring process?
Hurdy··on Show HN: Official Release of Gmelius, A Better Gmail in Chrome, Firefox & Opera

Hurdy··on How to cope with the Gmail redesign
It's not possible to please everyone when you do a UI change and have 300+ million users, but we do try to fix some issues people have with the new design (e.g. setting for text buttons, high contrast theme). Our community manager wrote a much more eloquent answer to that topic on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/google/comments/sk7i7/how_do_you_get...
Hurdy··on How to cope with the Gmail redesign
There is no glitch that just adds trash labels. Did you check if you have any filters set up that might be responsible?
Hurdy··on How to cope with the Gmail redesign
The old design will completely go away in the next few days. From a development perspective it's just not feasible to make everything work for two different designs (with many many themes). It's better to spend the time on cool new features.
Hurdy··on How to cope with the Gmail redesign
Can you rephrase that? How do these messages get the trash label?
Hurdy··on The day Bill Gates called me rude — and other lessons in user experience
The dots are the "grippy". You can use them to e.g. drag the mail over a label to move it there. In the old design they were always there, but now they are only showed on hover to remove "clutter".
