Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
Religious belief. Exactly. And what are your religious beliefs ? Are you sure you have none ? Is there something or someone you would never doubt ?
Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
Create the problem, bring an unecessary solution nobody would have accepted otherwise. Step 3, profit !

Vaccines and covid are going to come back every year for sure.

Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
Nope, that is not the only way. You have side effects. And you have the fact that the vaccine is still in test phase. What are the long term side effects, we don't know. And unless they are obvious we will never know, because vaccine are like a religion too many. You don't question a religion.
Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
IMO vaccine are pushed as miracle drug. There is probably fanatic peoples in both though. You might also want to check remdisivir, drug that is not efficient, but they pushed it far enough to get a contract of 1 billion, and effectively 0.2 billion have been spent on it.

I agree, people are responsible of themselves. The idea of blaming youtube for acting on information shared on its platform. Is the same level as blaming your microwawe fabricant for killing your cat you put inside.
Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
So much low risk, that pharmaceutical compagny made sure to have no liability if something bad happen.
Heyso··on Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of Covid-19 Infection
And who will judge it misinformation. You want to give someone the right to censor if they think something is false ? You probably think people are to dumb to do that for themselves. You will end up victim of that censorship soon or later. You can be sure someone with more power than you, somewhere, is thinking the same of you (too dumb to think by themselves).
Heyso··on YouTube bans coronavirus vaccine misinformation
> The ability for one person to amplify their voice or ideas

This is nothing new, look at who possess medias that most peoples read and trust every day.

It is naïve to think disinformation is something new, and oh, disinformation certainly doesn't apply to "ME".

Banning obvious bullshit? Like flat earth? Do you feel the need to ban that? I don't.

(Peoples) Wise or not wise enough to discern truth, you won't make anything better by tasking someone else to discern what is truth and not for others.

Sacrifice some liberty for security, and you will lose both.

Heyso··on Traits of good remote leaders
Double it, then add 20% make a 2.4 modifier.

  20*2*1.2 = 48
  20*2.2 = 44 // I, also, was confused myself at this point
  2 *1.2 = 2.4 // not 2.2
Heyso··on Why we are suing the Administration
Not sure this has anything to do with tiktok, but just wanted to say that :

Every compagny that is not paying taxes, is stealing money from all peoples in the country. They use loopholes in the law to make in legal. But that should not be acceptable. It pain me to live in a world where most peoples doesn't care to be robbed constantly.

Heyso··on Platforms' current attempts to regulate misinformation amplify opinion power
"Attempts", when it is a success you won't hear about it.
Heyso··on You've only added two lines – why did that take two days?
I can only agree with that. It is kinda just being honest. I don't know from where come this idea to showcase our work better than it actually is. Is it our own ego, showcasing unfinished/buggy work making us question our competency? Is it the fear of getting negative feedback because it is buggy and unfinished? Is it deeper issue, society making us believe, that what counts is superficial (apparence) way more than it should?
Heyso··on How to Understand Things
Our school is poisonous (can tell for France), if not evil. It become crystal clear after reading Celine Alvarez. Not sure if she got translated yet. In english, but older you also have Alfie Kohn, but I haven't read him.

When reading Celine, one understand that children are natural born learner, and there is no effort needed to make them learn stuff. Our school model is industrial production of objects. Thinking human machines. We are way more than that. Sadly Pink Floyd description of the school still echo to our modern school. Some peoples don't feel that way about school. I don't really know why. Maybe they never imagined how better it could have been, so they found it great.

Heyso··on Human reproductive cloning: The curious incident of the dog in the night-time
They have, you just don't know it.
Heyso··on To get good, go after the metagame
Not you. But this isn't a competition for salary. If you think your work and skills aren't valued correctly, you should look for another job. It is not that important that others have high salary that they (maybe) don't deserve, what is important is that you get the salary you think you deserve (important from your point of vue). Of course, whatever you get in the end also depend on what the business is willing to pay to have you.

If you feel stressed, you may be giving too much of yourself. If you are giving more then you like to, to compensate for your teammate, you might need to find teammates that are up to your level, that carr as much as you, an a business that care as much as you too.

Heyso··on Hospitals mergers do not improve quality: study
Hospitals, healthcare, should not be a business. If money is the end goal, cheap + efficient medicine will be thrown away, it might not even be profitable ! A curse for a businessman.
Heyso··on Ask HN: How do you protect your parents from tech scammers?
I am surprised no one mentioned AdBlock yet. Often you contract an virus/adware/... through and ad, especially when the ad is confused with a feature of the website. I use noscripts also, but that is not for non tech peoples. Apart from that I don't know, maybe, do not give them admin rights on the computer?
Heyso··on Ask HN: How do you protect your parents from tech scammers?
Maybe you can try letting her getting scammed on small things, so that she can train her ability to discern scams. Before she get scammed on something huge. The best would probably be a game, game doesn't have a huge consequence, this is good for training. Maybe some game like Resistance or The Werewolves of Millers Hollow. Maybe she is in deny, that someone would think of taking advantage of someone else thrust. Would be curious to know if making her take advantage of someone else thrust trought a game (like one cited above), would help her evolve.

I am reading your comments with interest. I do not find myself losing time using Typescript, quite the opposite, typing is in code documentation. And I find it much easier to read than untyped code. You say that TS dev focus more on code, maybe it is because they like to focus more on code that they use TS. I do agree you can waste time searching how to type a complicated piece of code. Meanwhile it is worth typing that piece of code if it is subject to change, or that the usage of it is not easy to understand.
Heyso··on Is true hacking dead? What we lost
Unity is amazing, I agree. Moving from scratch to unity seem like a big step. Why not play with a 2d game library on the browser (with typescript, and a teacher to give a starter project and the basics) ? Making games in 2d is a very similar experience a smaking game in 3d, just easier. Unity can be overhelming with the richness of what it propose.
