I just checked one of our more recent projects and the resulting CSS is 2.4KB, about half of which is actually an SVG that's used in a background.
Almost all of the apps stopped working long ago, and the manufacturer doesn't even push out updates anymore, but somehow the Vudu app keeps trucking along. They still use it as they prefer the built-in Vudu app to the Vudu app offered on their Xbox One.
I suppose props are in order to Vudu for supporting something so long after even the manufacturer has given up on it.
(Paraphrased from CA Civ Code 1954)
A landlord may enter the dwelling unit only in the following cases:
- In case of emergency.
- To make necessary or agreed repairs, exhibit the property, or perform move in/out inspections.
- When the tenant has abandoned or surrendered the premises.
- Pursuant to court order.
I've been communicating with their lead reports developer. The fix is done, tests are written, QA has given it the rubber stamp, but he's simply not allowed to push it to our instance until their next code release on the 22nd. It makes no sense, and it's certainly not how I run our side of things.
In the meantime, my users will lose 6-12 hours of productivity this month (15 days, 4 reports, 6-12 minutes each.)
I homebrew beer and use a tool called Bru'n Water to calculate what adjustments I need to make to my source water to match the characteristics of the style of beer. Once again it's just a massive excel file. Water and style information goes in, water additions (calcium sulfate, lactic acid, etc) comes out.
One is a consumer, one is a contractor.
Is this true? I can't find any references anywhere.
3D-AI looks like it would be a great fit, but "Call for demo" translates to "probably $100,000+ with lengthy on-boarding and extortion-level support contracts"
I don't mind calling or emailing to get a trial license, but I'm not going to waste my time or yours if I don't even know if it'll be in-budget.
Having known him and his family for years, he's not a security risk at all but it still seems like that probably shouldn't happen. Especially if the individual is already disqualified for PreCheck.
I like the chewing gum idea. I'm not necessarily an anxious person, but I always need to be doing something. E.g. if I don't have my vape in my hand, I'm chewing my nails. Really sucks.
We were mid-way through our project before realizing GraphQL might be a better fit for our use case so we paused for a week to play around with it and see if we could stand up something inside of our project that made sense.
GraphQL felt very "plug and play" to us. Aside from having to re-work some validation to fit into GraphQL's idea of mutations, we were mostly able to drop our existing models and logic directly in and see it working right away.
Having built very well defined REST APIs (and SOAP before that) for years, the flexibility that GraphQL offers made me feel a bit "uneasy" at first but I have come around to appreciating how much freedom it gives the front-end to only request the data they need.
I'm usually the type to shy away from flashy new doodads and stick with what I know is safe+reliable, especially in an enterprise environment, but as the project continues I'm feeling more and more confident in our choice. I suppose only time will tell though.
You have absolutely delighted this user, and your API is just the icing on the cake. Keep up the great work.
We're currently using Looper[0], but even that is a little too opinionated and visually "heavy" for business apps where productivity and clarity are paramount.

Me: I placed a 1Click order and was charged more than the advertised price.
Prashant: Hi, I’m Prashant, I’ll be glad to help you from here
Prashant: May I've the last four digits of the order ID?
Me: 5844 For the Scalpmaster Shampoo Brush
Prashant: I see the item is being sold and shipped by a third party seller HEHENE who is charging
Me: The listing said “$0.01 & FREE Shipping” but I was charged $9.81
Prashant: $9.80 as shipping and handling.
Me: But the listing says “FREE Shipping” specifically
Prashant: Let me quickly check this for you.
Prashant: In this case, what best we can do is to refund the shipping and charges once the item is delivered.
Me: Ok, because I feel like this is false advertising. I clicked the “buy with one click” button expecting to be charged exactly what was shown (“$0.01 & FREE Shipping) but I was not.
Me: So you’re saying I should file a complaint once it shows up?
Prashant: I certainly understand your concern.
Prashant: You just need to contact us here and we will refund the shipping charges.
Me: Haven’t I just contacted you?
Prashant: We can refund the amount once the item is delivered.
