I love the idea, features, privacy, but it really does not work for me. Maybe I need some usage tips??
Edit: I'm goona try out this !bang stuff
In Java 8:
java.util.Strings.isBlank(string) -- returns true if the string is null or "", else returns false.
Its wishful thinking hoping for this in Java 7... So I'll just lower some standards.
Now all you need to do is create an argument to the url so that it takes dimentions in case profiles have a dimention limitation. This way we can crash IE on many sites all over the internets.
1) Intent matters. Clients won't go to your site.
2) It is MS' fault. No amount of JS should ever crash the browser, at worst it should replace the page with "sorry this page has crashed, please continue browsing elsewhere" like what chrome does.
Ok found the link:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520086
Strangely this does not crash google chrome. Impressive!!!!
Err, correction, the regex now runs reasonably fast in the most recent of regex engines but I think on a long enough string it should still fail.
The string "dead:parrot(skit = 123372398547895743957574395743957439579435" now kills the browser.
However, unlike firefox in which regex runs in C space not JS space, google chrome/chromium recognizes that the page is unresponsive completely and kills the process, only the one process is unresponsive the rest of the browser works. Good job google!
Edit: This will kill Opera, Firefox (any), IE (any)
Analog is different. The signal is itself the image, so a poor signal = poor image.
MAYBE if you have a projector projecting onto a movie theater screen will a better HDMI cable matter... maybe? because of bandwidth limitations if the sender is smart enough it might send info at a lower resolution. Other than that I can't see theoretically why a good HDMI cable will help.
Also on my 42'' tv, I've yet to be shown a performance improvement when connecting my XBOX 360 via component or hdmi. It looks identical. And if HDMI is better than component, then I don't see a reason why you would ever need a good HDMI cable unless you are a movie theater and the theoretical problem does exist.
Edit regarding bit errors... Lets assume that the cable you bought is a good quality cable. By good quality I mean most seem to be shielded and not cut and no shorts. This is a reasonable expectation. I've yet to see an argument for buying more expensive super gold plated uber network cables. Hey why is your network cable that handles SO MUCH DATA not gold plated shielded etc.?
My friend has to pretend that he is straight and tell stories of him and his gf, because if found out that he was gay, not only would be lose most business, his life would be put through hell.
Congrats Randi!
Just because I know Java + Ruby Syntax + Some stuff on RoR does not mean I am a good RoR programmer, there's just so much more to RoR than the syntax.
I want to see someone completely grok pointer logic in 24 hrs from knowing nothing.
I wonder if physics calculations play into this.
Even if Ubi takes DDoS into account, the DDoS might slow the servers down just enough to keep kicking people out of their games.
1) Many refuse to buy the game ONLY because of the DRM.
2) DRM Servers Crash
3) Game cracked almost immediately after launch.
4) Legitimate users download the crack.
Point 4 is awesome. I think Ubi should be sued because a legit user HAD to crack the game to play it with a bad internet connection / servers down, and got a virus, and sue ubi for the damages.
So yea read up on multithreading, its extremely important to know, but hey my friend worked 4 yrs in .net and just started learning multithreading. So its not always needed.
Professional - Had to write a program which reads multiple files simultaniously and shoves all the data into multiple sockets which go to different machines to process the data in parallel, after which the data is queried from multiple machines into one result set.
Or
Having multiple machines open a socket to a central server, send information to it via sockets. The server then reads all sockets whenever data is available and shove status updates into a single in-memory data model which is queried once a second by each client connected to the server.
In any case, multithreaded programming is cool. Where else do you get to write test cases that start 1000 threads in a loop 100 times to ensure that funky race conditions have a high probability of occurring.
What's worse is right now I have to write non-multi threaded code which is multi threaded. A wierd thing. Basically there is no way for me to write multithreaded code BUT my events get triggered in parallel so any framework I write that can be accessed by multiple requests all of which can happen at once require a sort of setup, store in session, clone, modify, execute methodology.
Edit: I tried some multithreading in ruby, when porting between different VMs (1.8 vs 1.9 vs jruby) the code started going into deadlocks. Strangely my code was written to be deadlock proof. Anyone know any really good reading on RUBY multithreading / multiprocessing?
Nah, ok lets get a thread going on proxy mechanisms to help handelaar open up this website.
The real question is, just how in-control is the computer. And how much has to go wrong such that uncontrollable acceleration happens and nothing can override that acceleration such that no matter what you do the computer makes the car go into "drive" and accelerate to the max, without responding to other parts of the system like the breaks and such.
