But this introduces additional ast format. Something in between simplicity of the syntax and complexity of the real ast. In lisp like languages you are working with syntactic forms from the language. Seems like extra overhead without any gain.

I always liked ML family PLs, but my problem with OCaml is lack of good stdlib. This is why I never invested a lot of time in to it sadly. Reasons looks like a more solid out of the box ocaml distribution which I actually like a lot. Will play with it.

This blog post feels very empty. No code snippets? No actuall before after benchmarks/graphs? How can you state anything without showing numbers?

Mostly key bindings. Space as a leader. Everything themed by prefix. Like <spc>mee to eval clojure form in repl. <scp>mek to show clojure documentation. <spc>cl - comment line. Switched to unite. In my experience it's cleaner than default emacs editing experience, but it's not as clean as you can get in plain vim.

I was also using spacemacs for something like 2 month. After that I just rewrote my vim configuration with what I learned from spacemacs in mind. It's great and clean. But it's still emacs and vim emulation. Nowadays i'm much happier with my vim configuration partially thanks to spacemacs.

Evil mode is slower than vim. And also you are in evil mode only during the editing phase. All other menus drop you back to default emacs keybindings and that is very painful experience. I used evil mode for a couple of years and still just went back to vim.

But there are dozens of quick hacks like that on the internet. I have 4 similar things on my github account. Nothing special about them. I never though there might be any need to put that on a HN.

Why does it need phantomjs? There is an official HN api that can be used. If it uses phantomjs why not just use lynx/links/links2?

I did not like go until I tried it out on small pet project. Now I know how to enjoy it.

I think this statement is very extreme case scenario. I never really saw programming job without freedom to create requirement at least on technical front.

yeah, i had similar experience while deploying production stuff to systemd. It does not hurt anymore, it has lot reliable tooling that just works. I understand that it's not "unix way" as people like to say. For me that also means "being reliable". Systemd gives me as an application developer everything i need and takes a lot of pain away. I'm happy.

why do the call internal storage "cache capacity"? or is it space not used by os that cloud services can reuse as a persistent cache?

I failed to understand anything specific from their page. All feels buzzwordy without much concrete information. I'm very curious what is soluos. I'm assuming that it's some kind of linux, but what is on top. What does it mean to be "cloud connected os"? How open will be os? What is toolkit for app developers? Is it android or something web based or something different?

I'm very curious about the project but at the same time a bit sceptical based on the information they currently provide about the project.

PS. soluos sounds is very close to solusos - old linux distro that was maintaining legacy gnome2.0?

PPS would love to run a linux on a tiny portable device like that.

Clojure + ClojureScript + Reagent/Om as an abstraction on top of React

I used paredit vim. It's good, nowodays I use emacs+evil, but still would advise using paredit in vim. It's pretty good, different from one in Emacs though.

I did some research on the topic and apparently audi was planning to jump on to the f1 game (based on redbulls plans). But sadly with recent VW related issues audis presence in f1 will not happen soon.

I had no idea VW had f1 engine, is it used? I know that they have some presence in f3 in that sense, had no idea about f1 though.
