So Ubuntu is not linux and Fedora is? Yes, running Linux on macbook is a hard job, but it's doable. And all those minor issues have workarounds at the end. Older macbook you have higher chances that hardware was reverse engineered and kernel will support it better.

No, not really. But nim in my opinion is something in between.

Yeah, I also had positive experience with nim. I'm not sure why it's so unknown, maybe because it fits in the same niche between rust and go and not backed up by any major company in industry. But I highly recommend trying Nim out!

I never understood why rails has javascript helpers at all. It just does not bring any value in the long run, just complicates stuff. Rails should be js libraries agnostic and not provide any js related helpers out of the box in my opinion.

I don't think it's mainly about agile. There is plenty of good examples of fragile OSS out there that has nothing to do with agile. Entire npm ecosystem is very good example.

I't just a suggestion, if not - tmux users will have issue with systemd services. Not a big deal. I think linux community just loves to overreact everything related to the systemd.
