That’s a good point. In the Education sector, I believe there are many private alternatives that are gaining traction and I suspect they are the disruption the public sector is looking for and will adopt eventually. Just like how many older companies entrenched in middle management have been getting disrupted.

Are centa-millionaires and billionaires the ones most likely to avoid such taxes by setting up these dynasty trusts, or other tax shelter, in whichever jurisdiction that allows it?
GaryTang··on How South Dakota has become a global tax haven
It’s not fear mongering if it’s factual. Farms are low margin businesses — If they are being taxed when the patriarch dies, I don’t see how they keep their farm.

>From Wikipedia, “(The act) is the first of its kind to rely on enforcement by private individuals through civil lawsuits, rather than by the government through criminal or civil enforcement.”

Wow, it looks like the legislation is not as bad as the media and others make it out to be. In fact it looks like an incredible step in the right direction — enforcement from society rather than the government. I imagine that means much more leeway compared to enforcement via the criminal court system.

Lax labor laws are incredibly good for the employee as it contributes to more opportunities and thus upward pressure on wages. In states with lax labor laws, it’s not who you know but what you know.
