Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Fastest language for iteration and arrays manipulation?
Actually the IO happen outside of the loops I'm trying to optimize, I shouldn't have mentioned it as they are not part of the problem.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Fastest language for iteration and arrays manipulation?
Thanks for the answer, I understand better your point. What I understand from your messages is that C++ should be a good solution.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Fastest language for iteration and arrays manipulation?
Basically the network query is done before the computing tasks, the network remark is very true. I don't know cpp, only java php and js but I know I need to learn a new one for this task, I'm just wondering which one.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: What startups use Express.js or Node.js for their primary product?
Interested in the answer too

EDIT: I actually use node for my primary product which is a mmo game but it's too soon to consider the organization as a start up.

Fr33maan··on Show HN: Astroe.io now has bots. Multiplayer 2d space battle game
I hoped for a release note explaining the meaning of the titlebut I just get redirected to the game page... Which is not mibile friendly. Your title is in a 'news' format, it should link to a news. Good luck with your game.
Fr33maan··on Show HN: WeTube. Sync YouTube player across multiple devices
Back button just refresh the page on android, very annoying.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Fastest language for iteration and arrays manipulation?
Why I wouldn't need the fastest and only take a faster solution? You are answering to the question of C++ usage but do you know other languages that could do it faster? I know that c++ has dozens of years of optimizations and it is considered as a very powerful and fast language. Is it the best choice I can make? What about c, rust, java, etc...? Will they be slower that cpp?
Fr33maan··on Parcel – Fast, zero-configuration web application bundler
I don't get why it's a good argument to say that something exists for hundreds of years. Thinking about flat earth was also thought for hundreds of years.
Fr33maan··on The dark side of GraphQL: performance
If you don't want to share it publicly, you can find me very easily over the internet under the same name
Fr33maan··on The dark side of GraphQL: performance
Would you mind sharing your email? You have a fantastic way to build a message and we are looking for devs with that kind of skills.
Fr33maan··on Show HN: Nodetube – Open-source YouTube alternative with image and audio uploads
And then it would become peertube https://joinpeertube.org
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: How to monetize a game and not make a pay to win?
I really like the priority stuff and dislike the cosmetic, I explain why.

Cosmetics are expensive for mobile hardware as they create a tons of new assets to show to players. GPU can only hold a 4096*4096 spritesheet which correspond basically to 6 different characters with 5 animations each for a 2d game. It's not a lot... Spritesheet swaping is expensive in CPU time as it makes a new draw call. So the optimization part of displaying many different assets is an important task I don't want to focus on right now. Additionally I have to design the new assets. It seems to be a late solution when the game is already profitable and monetized... Or when you have 10s of thousands in investment.

Paying for beeing served in priority is quite fair. In our society, time is money and you can pay for bypass queues. It not makes the game a pay to win but a pay to play/not wait. It's fair for everyone.

I don't really like when games make players paying without offering them a significative advantage.

Additionally, for games only based on gameplay it could work. But for game with economy it doesn't click as if you don't have a white market, you will see a black market appear.

Fr33maan··on Constant confusion: why I still use JavaScript function statements
For the sake of understanding that a function is a function, let's declare them. Arrow functions are awesome as anonymous functions.
Fr33maan··on The Tibetan meditation research of Herbert Benson
Increase of vitality, imune system, consciousness which includes emotional order, environment awareness and then an increased sensibility to the beauty of nature. Deep feeling of being at the right place. Globally a very enjoyable inner state. And more.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Is there a technology that could enable global direct democracy?
We have to invent it. It's probably based on blockchain highly unprobably anonymous because we are real person, with identity and part of a real world society. It has to be uncorruptible and to give ability to express opinions in a trustful and peaceful way. Some intents are on the way. Most of them labeled as 'participative democracy'. It's a very complicated tool as it has to radically change our way to interact together on the internet, without the hate, the anger, the impatience. It's a tool which make us express the most beautiful and wise part of each of us.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: A friend introduced me to a client, now he wants a 25% cut
While you could increase your rate, I feel it's fair as your friend company is billing his client for the entire period. For me it feel like your are employed by your friend company. 1.25x is really low then. If he just introduced you to the client then it's not his company who should bill the client but yours. In this case it's your client and your friend just get a commission, 25% seems then pretty high. I usually give 15%. But what I understand is that the business relationship is between the client and your friend, it's not your client.
Fr33maan··on UFO Witnesses Tell the Truth
Actually it doesn't break the laws of physics, researchers found out that it was possible to change angle without any loss of speed under certain conditions, i think it was on HN top page few weeks ago.
Fr33maan··on Navigating the New Seed Landscape
Diaporama not working on my mobile brave browser and white on lime is unreadable for me
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Is social media useful to your career as a developer?
LinkedIn is a big source of career opportunities for me, many recruiters send me messages and some had very interesting offers.
Fr33maan··on Ask HN: Show Me a Fast React/Vue/Angular Site
I know you said nodemo but their demo store is quite complete and close from a real world website, it's a ecommerce solution built on react. They open sourced it, it's called cezerin. https://store.cezerin.com/

EDIT: didn't check if it was online but apparently they stoped it

Fr33maan··on Is the React Hooks Enough?
Very interesting article but it seems so strange that a third party library does a more beautiful job (and it seem it does) than a cohort of well paid engineers designing a new API...
