Don't praise GitHub too much. They've averaged an issue every 2 days for the past 3 months.
Never put all your eggs in one basket.
Keep your domains at one company. Your DNS with another. Hosting, a third.
If you have activist-type projects that might attract the attention of powerful people or companies, keep those segregated from your more banal projects in their own isolated accounts.
It sucks seeing people learn this the hard way.
I wish I could get a list of all microwaves and filter by criteria such as:
- Does the +30 seconds button start cooking immediately, or do you have to also press "start" afterwards?
- Does it beep every 30 seconds after it finishes, and if so can I turn that off?
- Better yet, can I turn the beeping off completely without taking the damn thing apart and desoldering the beeper, and of course in the process risking my life near the high-voltage electronics?
But it's basically impossible to know these things without buying it and opening the box, so there's no competitive pressure pushing manufacturers to make their appliances less annoying, so we all have to live with these little papercuts throughout our daily lives for perpetuity.

pnpm is (at least) as fast as Yarn 1, and they managed to do it with a much better compatibility story (in my experience)
Seems likely. Your chip underperforms? Just block people from using benchmarking apps, and also tell the press you never cared about speed. Problem solved.
> The reasons are many, including significantly greater language support both historically and now, a better fit for computations inside WebAssembly modules, exceptionally lightweight and speedy for LLM (large language model), and other superlatives.
Why is Rust (a general purpose programming language) exceptionally suited for LLMs (which typically run on a GPU)? What major LLM projects even use Rust? Definitely not llama.cpp or ollama. They just had to slide in that buzzword.
This is morally equivalent to:
- "just send a letter through the post if you don't like EU's chat control"
- "just read the newspaper if you don't like Google's Federated Learning of Cohorts"
I'd like to believe we can get the benefits of 21st century tech without giving up our privacy to get it. Thanks to Monero that belief is a reality. You're welcome to stick with cash and the pony express if you like, but it's not a great look painting everyone who disagrees with your values as a criminal.
I've always wondered where the "Thunder" prefix for VB's window class names came from (ThunderForm, ThunderButton, ThunderListBox, etc). Do you know who came up with it and if there's any fun meaning behind the name?

`errno` is another relic that needs to die yesterday.

Why is a -moz- prefix needed for a Safari workaround?
If they expect customers to magically know about the extra fee ahead of time, and add it to the bill after the meal, it is undisclosed.
