FlashBlaze··on Making Advanced GUI Applications with Godot
A great app made using Godot is heavypaint[1]. He explains that in his Blender everyday talk[2]

FlashBlaze··on Reducing search indexing latency to one second
Is there an engineering blog where they describe how they manage to show the exact timeline from where I left off each time I open the app?
FlashBlaze··on How we test the TeamCity UI
The Screenshots Diff section was amazing! Learned a ton from this section alone as I wasn't even aware you could do something like this for UI testing.
FlashBlaze··on Ask HN: How to write a good technical article?
Here's how I do it.

1. Note down the problem you're facing in your current project and search online for the solution.

2. If you find the solution, read it and try to implement and understand it. If you understand it and think "oh, I could have explained it better" create a rough draft.

3. If you don't find a solution, but rather parts of it from different resources, list down the sources and go from top to bottom on how to combine and implement these.

4. Now the writing part. I first introduce the problem I faced and resources I found and sort of explain how they didn't fit my need and what I did to solve my problem and how to combine these.

5. I then create a demo project for the same and go step by step with the accompanied code, some pictures/videos and a sprinkle of humour(which I just started doing tbh).

6. Create a first draft with this and read it once or twice to see what you can reduce to make the article more succinct.

7. If possible, give it to your friends to read and ask for their opinion on grammar, pacing, etc and modify it accordingly.

8. Publish it when you're satisfied.

Hope this helps.

FlashBlaze··on Why Figma Wins
I'm mostly a front end dev and previously I jumped directly into code and implemented whatever I had in mind without any clear direction (which should not have been the case at all). But after hearing about Figma, I first created a mockup of what I had in mind and just straight up designed for 2-3 days till I was satisfied and then dove into code.

Needless to say, it was a game changer as it increased my productivity as I had a clear goal in mind. I'm never going to delve straight into code w/o a clear design henceforth.

FlashBlaze··on Procedural Lake Village
Didn't know he did that in Houdini. Thought it was a Unity project.
FlashBlaze··on No to .io, Yes to .xyz
I first encountered .xyz in case of Alphabet[0]. And so I bought it for my own website[1] since I found it refreshing as you said.

FlashBlaze··on Gimp 2.10.20
I began using Gimp since 2.10.14 (upgraded to 2.10.20 today) and I'm loving it. I'm curious as to what did you find frustrating? As compared to the latest version, did you find 2.8 to be more stable?
FlashBlaze··on Random person name generator
Is there a list where I can find such quick results on DDG? Like for uuid, Markdown cheatsheet, chmod, etc
FlashBlaze··on Diving into Go by building a CLI application
Thanks. If possible can you suggest some good libraries for background tasks in Python?
FlashBlaze··on Diving into Go by building a CLI application
Is Go a good option to create some background tasks. For eg. monitor which Spotify songs are playing and and store that in a json file, etc. Or is Python more suitable for this?
FlashBlaze··on Server-Side Only React with Next
I read your blog on the tech stack used for building your site and in the analytics section you mentioned using Simple Analytics as it allowed you to serve the analytics script from your own domain. Was it because one of the things was bypassing ad blockers? As serving from your own domain won't block them?
