I'm testing on my end with 2 MIDI keyboards and it should step to the next set of fifths/chords in the scale
I also really like using React, styled-components, and TypeScript so I stuck with it
For the Web MIDI API, I based the project on ruohki/tauri-midi-example which already used midir (Rust MIDI) so I just left it as-is
Curious why the sound isn't working, are you using MIDI & which OS do you use?
This app is unique in what it does and I'll try to keep it like that. Too many other things to build, thanks!
I typically use https://www.basicmusictheory.com/c-major-scale to look up scales when I forget. For me this is going to be a quicker & more fun reference manual
It depends on the browser support I think. Luckily I bypassed all that with midir. The MIDI events are emitted to React from Rust: https://github.com/ZaneH/piano-trainer/blob/6cbc15df3f529d86...
And the program helps you memorize & practice scales, fifths and chords
I'm also using it as a reference sheet
There'll be an update coming later today
I've been learning tone.js as of late

It also integrates with graphql-codegen so you can generate code for apollo/others
