Ezku··on Underscore.php
It's available, but you might not be aware of how unintuitive PHP's array functions are. With inconcistencies and gotchas abound they are a chore to use. A wrapper such as this one can greatly enhance your productivity.
Ezku··on Underscore.php
It's great to see so many simple libraries taking advantage of closures in PHP cropping up. For comparison, here's my take on collections in PHP, inspired originally as much by Underscore.js as it was by Doctrine's version: https://github.com/xi-project/xi-collections

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of documentation as of now, but a look at the API should prove illuminating. For starters, the API is meant to be inherently both chainable and extensible with room for implementations based on eg. SPL classes. The idea is for the collections not to be throwaways for intermediate processing but to instead grow into a part of your application's internal API. Although the code should be in perfect working order (we're using it in one production system currently), the concept is a bit experimental at this stage. I'd very much appreciate any comments you have.

Ezku··on [Screencast] Elixir: Object Orientation and charming syntax on top of Erlang
Having now read the entirety of the readme, I'm left a bit unclear on the object model's semantics. If I declare a mixin in an object, those become class methods? Whereas declaring a prototype results in instance methods? Also, "set_ivar" seems like a needlessly complex and obscure statement.
Ezku··on [Screencast] Elixir: Object Orientation and charming syntax on top of Erlang
This definitely makes Erlang more approachable for me - I've managed to develop a strong dislike for the syntaxes in a lot of functional languages including Lisp and Haskell. From my perspective, the syntactic choices documented in https://github.com/josevalim/elixir seem rather reasonable on the whole, but functions are a tad odd. Is there any specific reason why it's "-> (x, y) x + y"? I always thought the motive for the arrow notation in the form "(x, y) -> x + y" was an obvious cognitive mapping into "x and y becomes x + y". Seems a bit bass ackwards as it is. I also have a minor issue with the atom prefix (to me : would have been more distinctive), but that's admittedly more of a personal thing.
Ezku··on "Move" — a simpler programming language as a subset of JavaScript
A subset? Doesn't seem so. Also doesn't seem to have anything on CoffeeScript.

Flowdock is intended to fill quite a different niche. It's supposed to facilitate teamwork, not spontaneous group communication. But if that's what you're looking for, Flowdock does do the job. I participated in the beta and found it quite nice.

I love Stross and Banks (have not read Morgan yet), but also have a profound love for both of the Vinge books you mentioned. Other Vinge's material, not so much. :( I hope he'll continue with the zones of thought saga some day.
