Executor··on Why you should not buy Apple computer products
Reply: M$ and crApple. Have a nice day!
Executor··on Preparing for the Collapse of Digital Civilization
Is this true? Doesn't this free service stop after a year?
Executor··on Ubuntu tapped by China for national operating system
@coldtea/staticfish:

I think you two are comparing two evils. It doesn't matter which empire is the lesser of the two evils - ALL empires should be scorned. Why don't we all agree on this fact? The next thing we should be persuaded on is the democratization and decentralization of these two empires.

Executor··on Social Login and Social Plugins Increase Page Views, Time Spent On Site
The "social login" defeats the idea of net neutrality. It limits your privacy and gives corporations more power over your accounts. Not really my cup of tea.
Executor··on Why the Future of Work is "Smart Work"
I wish more companies like Cisco and Google would do this...
Executor··on An Overview of Memory Management in Rust
Why do new languages like Rust, Go look so funky? Can't they make a language that is familiar? i.e.: - type comes after variables - for list.each |dog| <-- wtf, weird syntax?
Executor··on Why Google killed off Google Reader: It was self-defense
As if google reader didn't have ads? If monetization was the issue, why didn't they allow a paid option to keep it going?

It seems like you are ignoring some simple business issues.

Executor··on Working From Home is Like Saying No to Drugs
This is a very rude comment. You are implying that you must sacrifice happiness in order to be productive. But many people are able to be both productive at home AND be happy.

Why doesn't HN have a downvote...

Executor··on Google Glass: You'll kiss your privacy goodbye, and you won't mind
"Google promises they will let users browse a map, check their mail, record a video directly from the headset, without lifting a finger"

WHO cares about this? You do these things at home and at work. Just like smartphones, who needs to do these things on the fly? Answer: nobody!

Executor··on TEDx talks discredited: Sheldrake speaks, argues that speed of light is dropping
Get off my hacker news comments! :)
Executor··on TEDx talks discredited: Sheldrake speaks, argues that speed of light is dropping
How are his ideas dumb? He is proposing to expand scientific inquiry. Your comments seem to prove his point - dogmatism.

Using the terms "dumb" or "quackery" really lowers your persuasion.

Using your own vocabulary: I guess your "shit" didn't stick to the wall. :)

Executor··on Gnome cofounder: Desktop Linux is a Chernobyl of Fail
This is 2013 - these issues that the author states are very non-existent. I've used Ubuntu (before their switch to Unity and Amazon search) and Linux Mint and am happy with my experiences overall.

What the author misses is that it is unprincipled to use closed ecosystems like Apple since it helps to support them. Vote with your wallet.

Executor··on Gnome cofounder: Desktop Linux is a Chernobyl of Fail
But the programs in mac suck - consider xcode (or x-crap). Random crashes, a stupid paranoid public-private key environment (for iphone dev and the horrors of code signing), groups that don't 1-on-1 map to source folders, etc.

Also finder sucks compared to windows explorer. :)

Executor··on Google services should not require real names: Vint Cerf
It's about time this opinion started spreading. Let's hope we can change google... though I doubt they'd be moved by a news article.
Executor··on The Myth of Japanese Longevity
Oh noes, conspiracy-related posts. Closing the tabs to his site right away... or not.
Executor··on Why Five Days in the Office Is Too Many
This sounds very disrespectful. I would flag this comment, if I could :-/.
Executor··on “PCs are going to be like trucks”
I don't care about tablets or desktop pc's. I care about general-purpose pc's vs closed systems. Let's hope people choose a path where they get control of their computers rather than the closed app store model.
Executor··on Is speed reading really possible?
For a user of a speed reading CD (eye-Q), thank you for this info!
Executor··on StackExchange Founder Vows to Reinvent Online Discourse
Yes "no nesting". Read Jeff Atwood's article: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2006/11/discussions-flat-or.... It happens to by my opinion as well.
Executor··on Power and the Internet
How can we support such action?
Executor··on Pirate Bay Founder Could Be Prosecuted For Hacking “Within a Month”
Copying/sharing not stealing.
Executor··on Open plan offices are a nightmare
I've spent many projects in an "open" environment, never had bad side-effects. You can divide and conquer projects where people focus on only one task... that's efficient group multitasking. The only inefficiency comes through the time taken to synchronize with people.
Executor··on C and C++ Aren't Future Proof
if assembly was regular writing then C would be cursive. I would like to see D/go/rust succeed where C/C++ has failed.
Executor··on Google + OK Go + Pilobolus = All is Not Lost
WTF! Thousands of popups start coming out of the screen. I never asked for that...
Executor··on Adobe giving away the whole of Creative Suite 2 for free
I'm very happy that adobe did this! I sure hope photoshop/premiere CS2 is as good as CS5.
Executor··on Do We Really Need Another Smartphone OS?
Pros: - A real linux OS phone, more open than Android - Ubuntu getting more popularity - Gives Apple, Google, MS less control/power, users more diversity

Cons: - Canonical likes making big mistakes (mandatory Unity interface, Amazon search/spyware integration)

Executor··on We Need More Operating Systems
If C had only one source file (i.e. headerless C), then I'd agree that C was great. Otherwise, its a verbose piece of shit language.
Executor··on Web Developer Admits: Objective-C Beats HTML5
Title should be renamed to "native code beats html5". I'd rather program in html5/js than obj-c anyday!
Executor··on Open Source 'Needs To Ignore' Stallman, says GNU Maintainer
Or get rid of your expectations on what an ideal leader is?

Either way we already have a community of people sharing similar values of open source - I don't think we need a hierarchical leader/follower structure.

Executor··on Ask HN: How do you escape CRUD jobs?
Join foundations like Apache, FSF, Linux and Mozilla? Join open jobs like Valve, Github, 37signals?

Either way... I don't think changing the tech world is the answer. It's our SOCIETY that needs changing, requiring people to be politically active, self-educate, protest, etc.
