HN had availability issued int he same time frame, so that isn't too surprising...

"The general designer of Russia's Energia corporation Vladimir Solovyov warned that 80% of the Russian segment's equipment was past its service life"

The ISS is supposed to come down in a couple of years too, no?

it is not... at least I can't login... https://i.imgur.com/tr3ElGL.png (screenshot taken at 18:22 10/4/2021 Eastern time) ... I that think I have never seen a monopoly been down this long before

that's the solution

makes sense but at the same time it surprises me

We can only hope that they will be gone forever... and HN is having major issues at the same time!

You got to start the discussion somewhere.... For me, I t think that it should be related to the number of employees.

Talking about monopolies, why does Facebook and HN have network issues at the same time.

Block ads?

> Coinbase says hackers stole cryptocurrency from them, affecting at least 6k customers

true, but dogs need to be leeched

This post was reported and dead for a few hours ... it is now back live... thanks DANG

you could do a data request (using Freedom of Information Act)... Some police/sheriff harassed me in my own backyard in an helicopter... I probably should request some data on that.

28T or 150T ... either way it is really bad....

There is usually at least 1000 people shot by police each year (edit: in the US)... and that don't include chockings and other murder methods: https://github.com/washingtonpost/data-police-shootings

The main problem is that cops that act recklessly usually have no consequences except in some rare cases when the story becomes viral...

no but I can't do that with Tesla software either .... I can with comma.ai though....

eventually, you won't have to buy a car... there will be self-driving cars everywhere waiting for you to hop on.

Tesla is getting some real competition

That should be the default?

I never heard that Apple invented switching power supplies... how common is that train of thought? I've been using them since way before this article was written

> And IMO, it's a positive change although it does sound a little weird.

It's a negative change that I didn't know about and yes, it is weird/wrong.

Even if ~70% of the Internet think that FB is the Internet?

Sometimes, I'm wondering if he is putting down fuel cells only because he is heavily invested in conventional batteries

I wonder why he is also anti fuel-cell? And pro-transmission on electric cars (luckily that didn't pan out)....

I've also been vaccinated twice and think that this is a slippery slope we have been going down for quite a while.

Monopolies like Youtube should be prevented from censoring content.

isn't FB in USA available to FB in Australia? or are we already more divided then I thought... soon we will need to rename the Internet to the Intranet if that is the case

They claim that for increased job security... What they don't understand is that they could get a more productive job somewhere else...

If they would defund the DEA now, how far could they push back the shutdown?

I used Mosquitto years ago for a few years and never had any issues with it...
