What the fuck is happening? How is some "what the spanish inquisition taught me about SAAS sales" linkedin spam getting near the top of the HN feed?

Also the author's knowledge of roman history seems to be to the level of a summary of an inaccurate youtube video.

All the heavy metals were below 1ppm, are any of the levels concerning?

I've been seeing more AI slop being posted on reddit even on smaller subreddits. Whatever people are using to do it likes to somewhat randomly bold certain words to emphasize them so it stands out a bit once you notice it.

What are you smoking? 20% is a perfectly healthy bodyfat number and (for a man) anything down to 15% or so is fine. Sub 10% is when you pretty much need a crazy bodybuilder lifestyle to maintain it. And on the other side, 25% is around the lien where you start facing some minor health risks from excess body fat.

I almost always wait 20 minutes or more for a checked bag, and I've had to wait well over 45 minutes a few times.

I think the garbage CAs that want to delay certificate revocation way beyond requirements are numerous enough that this proposal won't go ahead. Much easier for them to just do nothing and hope they won't be the next Entrust.

Is this an actual leak or another case of an export-controlled document that's already circulating around the internet getting posted on their forums? Most of the war thunder "classified leaks" have just been that.

I was definitely overweight (by waist and BF%) at 5'11" and 180lbs, and going by the stats I've seen that seems more common than your case of BMI overestimating BF%.

We sourced a basic GPS module for a student project in the late 2000s, it had an antenna the size of a charcoal briquette, drew a bunch of power, wasn't all that cheap, and took a while to lock on to satellites. I can only imagine how crappy and expensive an accelerometer would have been at that time.

The smartphone revolution was a gamechanger for the price and availability of GPS receivers as well as accelerometer/gyro systems.

In theory* having to type it is supposed to be a rare edge case.

Person stops doing thing for 2 years, when returning to thing again now finds it very difficult, a while after returning to thing (plus adding in a hobby of pulling on themselves as instructed by youtube) is ok again.

PS5 controller replaced rumble with fancy haptics and force feedback on the triggers

You can add security keys as a 2FA method and it will disable use of the trusted phone number for authentication

The other side of this is the many complaints in HN threads about restrictions on what extensions can do and which ones are allowed. I can't say whether chrome's extension library strikes the right balance, but I think it's a difficult tradeoff.

While there’s nothing really new here, maybe this will get average people to start caring about this stuff.

Context?

That would reduce the availability of carbs and make the GI issues even worse.

Having one instruction that can be a branch, call, or return seems super weird, what’s the reasoning for it?

If they can ship 10nm in reasonable volume soon, they can get their process lead back a bit, assuming their claims that its better than the 7nm foundry processes are true.

He might get his wish, given that apple currently seem to be trying to get their content services everywhere

The streaming wars are probably going to make for a lot of strange partnerships and conflicts going forward though. I wouldn't have expected Apple to get close with Amazon (supporting Apple Music and Apple TV on amazon devices), and I never would have expected Netflix to start firing shots at apple (disabling Airplay 2 support).

The input methods available do matter, and affect the practicality of doing tasks pretty substantially. And a great deal of development involves the building/running of code happening remotely anyway. Although in this case all of the editing seems to be happening on the VM as well, so it's more of a pure dumb terminal.

Now to wait for the entry on https://ourincrediblejourney.tumblr.com

This is excellent, this clarified things in a way past block diagrams hadn't for me.

Don't the pilots have the option of engaging alternate flight rules in this case? Or is that not how it works?
