That random photo of your messy living room might be trash right now, but beloved in 20 years when you want to remember your old home.
It reads like one of those fake AI written papers about nonsense that seem kinda real at first glance.
E.g. facebook for me is mainly the messenger and a few random photos or people. Everything else on there is not enjoyable.
Reddit is like a forum where I can occassionally say things about my hobbies. Also nothing that sucks me in, in an unhealthy way.
X and Mastodon are mostly news and random people showing off things.
Youtube is like TV where at some point you watched what you wanted to watch for the day.
The only thing that seems addicting to me are Apps like Tiktok or Instagram, where you are just one simple swipe away from the next bit of short term entertainment.
The problem is that the whole sentence doesn't make sense with a number there. "Company claims 10 price hike drove it from VMware..."
That sounds absolutely horrible though. There is no chance of it being truly free because the servers cost money. You are fully locked-in in that system. It won't work offline. You can't use it for secret projects...
Unless it's intended for companies to run the API on their own servers?
I just tried installing the new RC of FreeCAD, and it's still a horrible horrible unusable mess (despite all the improvements of Ondsel).
Anyone trying is probably better off starting from scratch on the GUI, and only extracting the algorithmic bits from FreeCad.
Everything else is usually too expensive, doesn't offer a good variety and quality of products, or is highly targeted at teenage girls for some reason. As a guy I honestly don't know where to go shopping for clothes... I just have to hope for occasional random finds.
