Exactly. If it is a handful of things that is fine. It’s often as you describe.
For example Docker Desktop being disallowed with vigor for Windows machines because it’s a virtualization tool. But Docker is fine for Linux users. And confirmed it’s not a licensing or purchasing issue.
Different state but I think a similar conundrum. They’re old dairy cows living their best life.
Not kidding, that’s the main blocker. We have the DevOps knowledge on our team to go to containers, prepackaged dev environments, etc. But corporate cyber tends to respond to our requests to discuss cyber policy and escalate via proper channels with “sorry that’s against policy”.
This is not my experience at one company but multiple good, name brand companies that generally do good engineering and software work.
How would we handle regulating sex bots? Complete ban on manufacturing and import of full size humanoid bots? They are large enough that it could be partially effective I guess. I’m imagining two dudes in a shady meetup for a black market sale of sex bot which is kinda funny but also scary because the future is coming fast.
Or in this case, a husband having police investigate and apprehend the wife in the act? Crazy times.
That's fascinating. How does an account like this not blatantly violate the TOC for personal or commercial use of Reddit?
This seems like a $50000 bit of work. Will it ever pay off or was it more of a hobby project?
