Also if all this is documented somewhere, please feel free to point me to it. I couldn't find any on my own.
While I agree with the sentiment here, there is no need to diminish the work of QA people. They are a very important of the development process. A good QA is hard to come by and I often see them single-single handedly carry a project to completion despite working with a team highly incompetent "developers"(see what I did there).

But it still leaves me feeling empty and unfulfilled. And I can feel the problem only getting worse gradually. I have started hating the things I used to love, silence makes me anxious hence I need music pretty the whole time I am awake. Reading or learning anything new seems pointless since I don't know what to do with the new found knowledge/skill. The feeling of "no one cares" amplifies when you are alone. The advise of just "go out more" or "connect with new people" is not much helpful when you have terrible social anxiety and never learned to interact with people.
In short, distracting yourself might help in short term, but it is not a sustainable solution.
The problem here is definitely bigger than a software error. For students from small towns or poor family, education is their only shot at a better life for them and their family. You grow up in an environment where failure is simply not an option. I was once one of them. The cost of failing is incredibly high. Kids at this age should not be under such pressure.

"But if plaintext is so good, why is this page written in HTML?"
This is a reference document, not an email, you twit.I found this the best way to start with python. YMMV.

I have refused to use dozens of service which required me to click pictures to prove that "I am not a robot" and sent the service provider an email informing them of my decision. I would urge everyone to do the same.
I wish I could do a grep style search on the web after removing all the social media and popular brands.
I have been thinking something along similar lines. One thing I wanted to add is independent (static site)bloggers and content creators, forums like HN and reddit, stackoverflow etc. But I have no idea how to find these bloggers. Maybe whitelisting the sites to be indexed is the solution?
Everytime I a stackoverflow answer links to some really amazing blog post, it saddens me that google wouldn't have shown me that result even if I searched the exact same topic of the blog post.
I swithed to DDG sometime ago and it is way better atleast for me. I still switch to google for localised information(local restaurants etc.) though.
No Google is not going to pay billion dollars, not yet. Very clickbaity title.
