"Oh you like this printer? Well the printer is free, but if you want it, you have to pay me $40 for 1 second of my time."
You meet, say hello. Collect $40. Give the free printer.
Personally, I'm glad I got our of management and back into the nuts and bolts side of the house.
Until you unexpectedly lose your job and then have no income. Hopefully you have savings to fall back on, if not you find yourself facing questions like: How can I feed my children? Or pay for medicine.
Don't get me wrong, I hear you brother. I had a stay at home mom and loved it, my wife came from a divorced family and didn't like being a latch-key kid.
So our decision for her to be a stay at home mom, to give up her career wasn't terribly difficult.
But I would be lying if I said I didn't worry about only having one income. I'd swallow my pride in an instant and go shovel shit all day if it meant that the family would have food, but it's a little stressful none the less.
The problem with dual income is that paying for childcare often doesn't scale well as the number of children go up. That cost quickly eats more and more of the second income.
It just feels (to me at least), that this is a problem. Granted before what we consider to be the electronic age of social media, this kind of validation existed -- for example, getting a phone call from a friend would give one a similar level of validation - I have a friend! He/She likes me enough to call me!" - it wasn't something someone expected to happen every ten minutes and it wasn't something that required you to do anything.t
Now that we are all connected, we post, we expect validation that someone has read the nugget we posted. Yay! Friends!
I dunno, just strikes me as something to be leery of..

Desire to see ISIS and its kind eliminated. Frustration with formal government impotence. That would be my guess.
"Even nutrition, the report said, could be problematic, because any Mars vehicle will likely be significantly smaller than the International Space Station, and astronauts will be too far away to receive the regular resupply missions they now get on the station."
Why does that have to be the case? Why are we limiting the size of the spaceship to what can be launched from Earth? Wouldn't it be better to construct teh ship in space so it could be a behemoth that had ample supplies, etc. and in effect could be a semi-permanent space station in Mars orbit that could be launched from to the surface with smaller ships?
Nine assholes get together in a room and decided to hit nine different places at X time. How hard is it to synchronize watch times?
Grade-wise he mainly gets A's and a B here and there. Honors classes, etc.
While I don't attribute the age he started completely to this, I do think it had a rather positive impact (currently in 8th).
Conversely, I think I started kindergarten at either 4 or 5 and struggled/hated school my entire life. Even had to put up with Evil Nuns. #jake #elwood Food for thought.
But my question is this: Why aren't all of the countries in the G20 actively doing this ALL the time already?
