I like the "The Guardian" banner on top of that headline.

Also lol.

Black616Angel··on Mwmbl: Free, open-source and non-profit search engine
Okay, name aside, because I instantly got that and englisch isn't my first language.

But the crawler seems to be lacking quite a bit. For my first search (current work problem) "rust json diff" it only found 6 links, only one of which was a rust crate. Unfortunate.

Second Search: "black sabbath sleeping village lyrics" only gave 2 results, only one of which was correct.

Also the repo is missing the SearXNG[1] search engine.

Black616Angel··on Supermarket AI meal planner app suggests recipe that would create chlorine gas
Yeah, but why would I input bleach into my recipe-maker? Why would I not look out the front window of my car while driving?

Those are basic skills humans in those positions should be able to do.

From the headline I thought the AI mixed some food-ingredients to make chlorine gas, which would be really bad. But if one were to only input "battery acid, cut fingernails, hairball, dead smartwatch" what kind of recipe do you think they'll get?

Black616Angel··on Win11Debloat is a simple script that removes pre-installed windows bloatware
No, then they tell you about all the not-working AAA-games they boycott and why that somehow hinders them of using Linux, which they by the way already tried in 1995 and it didn't work out back then so why should it now?
Black616Angel··on Conduit: Simple, fast and reliable chat server powered by Matrix
I didn't know Digital Ocean before, but it seems like they are more focused on CPU than on disk space. This is bad, since you will need to store some data on the server, if you send any images at all. We have a matrix-server running for 4 people since maybe 2019 and it's at 60gb disk usage right now. So in that regard, 10 memers will need at least a 100gb so 24$ a month, but you can get a lot cheaper than that, using some other server hosters, which are more focused on giving you a lot of space instead.

Specs: The server we use has 4 cores (barely uses 1) and 8 gigs of RAM, 2.5 of which are currently used and 120gb of disk space, that will probably suffice for another 2-3 years.

Black616Angel··on Reddit Strike Has Started
Okay, do you have numbers for that? (honest question) Most "statistics" I have seen were done via a reddit survey, which 3rd party apps can't do due to API-limitations. So all the users sying "yes I use a 3rd party app" did so either via their mobile or workstation browser (where you have to auth again) which is a hassle most people (me included) are not willing to take for some random reddit survey.
