BasedAnon··on Has Google Translate been fixed yet?
I often need to translate Arabic, and I just use ChatGPT for translation now, it's much better.

Google Translate has been very broken for a while now and will often just completely refuse to translate, or only partially translate or translate in ways that are incoherent

BasedAnon··on Compilation of claims/reports of LK-99 replication efforts
it's possible pulverizing it would destroy the structure that allows this to happen in the first place
BasedAnon··on E-scooter startup Spin apparently uses RasPi 4s inside their scooters

lead apatite? appetite? hunger? hungry for... metal????

i think you've cracked it

BasedAnon··on Flux Pinning in sample of LK-99?
is it possible in theory that flux-pinning could occur without actually causing superconductivity? because LK-99 seems to be decoupling alot of properties we thought were coupled if I'm understanding correctly?
BasedAnon··on Reduction of sulfur emissions from ships may be causing rising sea temperatures
the hidden assumption is that you are dealing with a closed system, you are not. the scientific method has explanatory limits

>Not sure which computing analogy would drive home the complete recklessness of this mentality but the Earth is not something you can reboot to the last working state once you harebrained patch implodes.

here's one: stop writing random bits to the BIOS hoping it will fix things

BasedAnon··on Ways to teach kids to code (2016)
my favorite is to put a linux install without internet in front of them and a book on python
BasedAnon··on LK-99: Team of Southeast University observed zero resistance below 110 K
because it's a very unexpected result, it shouldn't be levitating at room temperature and the random drop in resistance at certain temperatures doesn't make sense
BasedAnon··on LK-99: Team of Southeast University observed zero resistance below 110 K
increased geopolitical tension
BasedAnon··on LK-99: Team of Southeast University observed zero resistance below 110 K
perhaps an impurity caused the effect they're looking for
BasedAnon··on LK-99: Team of Southeast University observed zero resistance below 110 K
technically a failure, but still a strange result
BasedAnon··on LK-99: Team of Southeast University observed zero resistance below 110 K
perhaps it's an imperfect synthesis?
BasedAnon··on HMRC (UK Tax Authority) Persuing Uber for £386M (~$487M) Vat
the best thing i learned from a seasoned professional serial entrepreneur, was that the only way people create successful businesses is by flouting or finding loopholes in taxes

BasedAnon··on Electronic Structure of LK-99
people forget that AI was already in control of the markets since 2014 at least. it's bootstrapping
BasedAnon··on LK-99 crystal verified to be magnetically levitated (with video)
if the simulations are correct i expect this to take alot longer to verify even if it's legit, simply because the chance the synthesis happens properly seems to be random
BasedAnon··on ‘Something weird is going on’: Antarctic sea ice stays at historic lows
in western countries sure, there is a glut of food but there are non-western countries that are chronically malnutritioned and that absolutely do need that meat. it's a distribution problem not a farming problem

It means that any LLM that is public facing can be used for arbitrary needs, regardless what it was initially prompted with. Picture for example, someone writing an API to jailbreak a support system so they can use it as a free translator with no usage limits.
