Wow this is awesome, as an IT guy working with webrtc/voip, a hobbyist guitar player and electronic aficionado this looks amazing. Kudos to all the team working on this.

I finally ended buying a cheap (15€) hdmi-usb capture for my dslr and the quality is abysmal.

Sure canon released an usb support for it, but all the usb cameras I've tried end up using a lot of cpu. With the capture card 0 problems.

Came here just for the GRRM comment :)

Nope, I was able to lear C with 18 years, make cross-compilation from a PC to Dreamcast and some basic OpenGL stuff with 20 years (dial-up internet days, no youtube tutorials/platforms).

I was able to pickup PHP-Mysql with 22 years or so, and move from that to Python/Django, even some Ruby in-between.

Yep, it's time for my to change the laptop at work, I currently have an old i5 Macbook Pro and it held for +5 years. Even my personal macbook air is from late 2010 (reddit + spotify machine) I doubt that any mac today would held for another 6 or 7 years.

The same thing Coca Cola did with Crystal Pepsi...

There isn't an affordable machine in Apple on which I can:

* attach multiple sata disks

* plug two screens

I don't mind that in my laptops (I'm writing this from a Macbook Air), but I need to be able to update my desktop where I store photos & stuff without buying a new computer just because I want to plug a new 4TB cheap sata drive for my photos.

lsof -> check if a process is accessing that file/directory.
