Aeglaecia··on Rare, dangerous side effects of some Covid-19 vaccines explained
ill acknowledge your attacks on my verbal expression. now do you have a rebuttal to the idea that conscription and forced vaccine mandates are comparable ? because all the mrna vaccines have fucked up side effects, moving from one to another isn't a perfect solution. regardless - ive put an idea forth for discussion, what makes you think that accusing me of playing victim is a valid method of discussing things in a productive and non inflammatory way? it seems like youre intentionally trying to bait your opponent, like the engagement bots on reddit.
Aeglaecia··on Claude’s C Compiler vs. GCC
that is indeed what is being argued , is it possible to screw someone over politely ?
Aeglaecia··on Claude’s C Compiler vs. GCC
interpreting his words on a literal basis , the PR submitter isn't being directly impolite ...

if you will , place yourself in the shoes of the repository maintainer. a random person (with a personal agenda) has popped up trying to sell you a solution (that he doesn't understand) to a problem (that you don't see as problematic). after you spending literal hours patiently explaining why the proposition is not acceptable , this random person still continues attempting to sell his solution.

do you see any impoliteness in the reframed scenario ?

Aeglaecia··on Shifts in U.S. Social Media Use, 2020–2024: Decline, Fragmentation, Polarization (2025)
awesome observation that ill be stealing , thanks for sharing
Aeglaecia··on Flock CEO calls Deflock a “terrorist organization” (2025) [video]
plenty of people get executed under regimes of parties both left and right , im referring to the idea at global scale not specific to any particular country
Aeglaecia··on Flock CEO calls Deflock a “terrorist organization” (2025) [video]
i think a great example to back your point is that the terminally online turn out in droves to apply the nazi label to all those not in favor of maximising immigration , rational discourse seems to have broken down and the resulting vacuum of meaning is filled by hyperbole as people scamble to feel heard in a world of weak voices & closed ears
Aeglaecia··on I miss thinking hard
there's no such thing as right or wrong , so the following isn't intended as any form of judgement or admonition , merely an observation that you are starting to sound like an llm
Aeglaecia··on Teaching my neighbor to keep the volume down
presuming your suggestion is correct (that forum goers are indistinguishable from walking echo chambers) , wouldnt screaming at forum goers just end up with a scream being returned right at you ?
Aeglaecia··on Notepad++ hijacked by state-sponsored actors
the original commenter has explicitly stated willingness to engage politically , he has also stated this is not something he is willing to do when it is interrupting his seperate personal choices , concluding with an observation that others tend to conflate non-constant political will with a constant apolitical view. can you please explain how you are not conflating these two concepts ?
Aeglaecia··on Notepad++ hijacked by state-sponsored actors
i dont see how saying "no politics" is similar to asking "why is there political messaging literally everywhere" , do you see how conflating the two is the exact behaviour that the original commenter was trying to discuss ?
Aeglaecia··on Finland looks to introduce Australia-style ban on social media
I think it sounds more like "why is the town square covered in ads now , who installed actual mantraps in the town square , why is everything we do in the town square used against us , town squares were fine less than two decades ago and we let the rich parasitize them for profit"
Aeglaecia··on Did a celebrated researcher obscure a baby's poisoning?
obviously the scientific method is perfect , but i think i remember reading that the majority of studies are non reproducible, so things clearly arent perfect in practice. if one truly believes in the fallibility of humans, they also believe in the fallibility of the applying the scientific method - how could the output of of a fallible process ever be non fallible? confounding variables, hidden variables, incomplete sample spaces, etc ... these cannot ever be accounted for with certainty , thus i trust the scientific method as much as any human lol
Aeglaecia··on TikTok settles just before social media addiction trial to begin
re adults it does fall to individual responsibility , re kids we can partially blame parents for not taking care of their kids properly , overall the enemy of our attention has quadrillions of dollars which is fairly difficult to fight against
Aeglaecia··on We will ban you and ridicule you in public if you waste our time on crap reports
people who actually have a life generally don't spend time hanging around internet forums so it's important to consider that a disconnection from reality is involved in places like these , thru my eyes you have restated the idea of low trust vs high trust societies without building on top of the idea , which isnt downvote worthy but isnt upvote worthy either
Aeglaecia··on cURL removes bug bounties
i believe that the existence of not for profit organizations is a valid counterpoint to whatever your argument is
Aeglaecia··on Chatbot Psychosis
i dont think either of us properly understood the other , perhaps we shall finish this discussion properly another time , all the best until then
Aeglaecia··on Chatbot Psychosis
i think you meant this to be some sort of gotcha , seems your statement aligns with my personal view that literally nobody has any clue what's really going on behind the scenes , so there very well could be a flying spaghetti monster pulling the strings for all we know
Aeglaecia··on Chatbot Psychosis
how could you possibly label an experience accurately without having experienced it yourself ?
Aeglaecia··on Chatbot Psychosis
i don't wish to debate the accuracy of your experience , however i will challenge it a bit - perhaps all psychotics believe they are on a higher plane of thinking , this does not imply that all those on a higher plane of thinking are psychotics
Aeglaecia··on Use social media mindfully
doesn't make much of a difference when you are the only non vampire left
Aeglaecia··on Chatbot Psychosis
ten bucks says this condition ends up evolving in the same way that female hysteria did

what if llms are actually equivalent to humans in sentience ? wouldn't that make everyone psychotic except those in "chatbot psychosis" ?

Aeglaecia··on Use social media mindfully
when vampires are knocking at everyones front door , a sizeable proportion of the populace will be vampirized , such that any barricades to your domicile will be inevitably breached
Aeglaecia··on Eat Real Food
thanks for showing me the way that i sound when i make sweeping admonitions
Aeglaecia··on Profession by Isaac Asimov (1957)
one of asimov's finest , a metaphor that continues to find relevance in my day to day existence - that the conclusions we so readily come to are assumptions made in the absence of the awareness of something more
Aeglaecia··on If you put Apple icons in reverse it looks like someone getting good at design
why shouldn't an icon be at least partially skeuomorphic?
Aeglaecia··on Every country should set 16 as the minimum age for social media accounts
I agree with you in spirit , however nobody was taught how to raise their kids in an age of incessant hyperstimulation , and people in general don't go out of their way to learn things properly
Aeglaecia··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
it was a bit doubtful that the recipe for pasta could vary so much , although i do see on the net that america is fond of jar pasta sauce over tomato cans (not pasta exactly but intrinsically linked) ... perhaps this down promotion of carbs is a knock on effect from years of the keto diet being mainstream
Aeglaecia··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
id recommend you look into the omega 6 to omega 3 ratio , the tldr is that the ratio of omega 6 to 3 is way out of balance in the modern western diet , from my viewpoint this has been spurred on by oils such as soy and canola which are very high in omega 6
Aeglaecia··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
i dont think it takes machismo to say that frying in animal fat is tastier than frying in whatever the hell constitues canola oil , as well your american breads and pastas are probably significantly less healthy than the european equivalent
Aeglaecia··on Statement from Jerome Powell
non americans call it a normal discussion about the events affecting our lives
