Real "Oh no! So sorry to see you go totally by your own choice" vibes.
The business is "solid", but is it not profitable? Who is cashing in on cutting these jobs? Which exec is losing their job for overhiring?

They don't know that Dario told me Fable is going to hack the planet.
Just because it can do it, doesn't mean that it's a good idea.
Crazy to me that people are producing code they don't read, expect another human to review it or just let ai take the wheel and review. Then yeet it out the window into prod.
Why are we not ok with this for our cars, but we are ok with this for our software(banking, health care, etc.). Doesn't make any sense to me.
Everyone has the same group think, it bleeds into the way the LLM generates code and ultimately it just rots teams.
All of them take my notes, meeting transcripts, jira tickets, code, websites, and give me more to read.
Then everyone else in the org is doing the same, to give me more to read. At the end of the day there is too much to read.
AI is supposed to be reducing toil, but it's just making more.
Doom runs like butter on the switch.
Might be hard to run, I don't know, but at least it was well made.
This is Microsoft politely saying that not all studios are good enough for them.
And by good enough they mean enough of a money printer.
I'm anti Zuck, but it's mostly because he's a lizard man with no morals. You are anti Zuck because he's mentioned that the promise of AI isn't going to the moon as promised. We are not the same.
Annoying when you play games, likely expensive when the robot keeps breaking things.
If they ever get the tech down (I doubt it), they will then try move to broader labour replacement.
This is why all the robots need to be humanoid.
People I've worked with that used R and manged data / did analysis didn't really seem too concerned with long term maintenance.
Secondary observation, these same people were the first to preach for the AI coding gospel.
The math don’t math here, there literally aren’t enough people to afford this and businesses will go under the more people are displaced for gainful employment.
I've seen it first hand, people cotton on to EM's latest buzz word, find some space to shove it into and then show it off. EM is blown away despite the result being over engineered or poor fit for the solution.
Last time I saw this was a system decomposed to events when tight orchestration was necessary. 10 months later a single function app was dropped in place to replace it. Dev who did the original work got a promotion for their gift of technical debt.
