The only concept that I can't put into my muscle memory is reverting changes for one file before commit. This is very easy in SVN but for some reason it's not intuitive git (at least for me), why there can't be something like `git revert filename`. Thankfully I have GitKraren that is helping me with things like that.
The limit is only for tax purposes. One guy at my work uses Sony DSLR as webcam and it works just fine and we are staying with cams/mics on for hours at a time (pair programming)
In Polish it's common to use "deko" (ang. deca) especially for weight of groceries. So it's perfectly normal to buy "20 deko sera" instead of "200 gram sera" (both means 200g of cheese)
But if you are riding bike seriously 10 miles is nothing. It's literally 30-40 minutes ride. I am runner not biker and on many occasions 10 miles for me is just a morning run before work.
I think there is difference in the way top loaders are build in US and EU. US top loader is basically front loader put on it's back, that's why it have to fill all the way up. EU top loader have the drum sideways so it works in the same axis as front loader and you put your clothes trough the doors in wall of the drum.
Even if they are it's USA, everybody have to pay their lawyer bills. It's not like in UK or many other countries where the side that looses pays up all costs. So if you have to choose between paying for healthcare and paying for the lawyers you'll obviously choose your health.
Absolutely this! I would add to this: street view, traffic prediction, search on maps and smartphone that can handle all of that. In last decade I've moved a lot and applications like Google Maps and Apple Maps saved me countless times. This is not sexy tech but actual, useful tech that improved lives of millions of people.
If your workflow allows for switch then just pull the trigger and buy cheaper and faster Windows or Linux machine. IMHO Macs are extremely overpriced and should be bought only by people who are tied to MacOS ecosystem (iOS development, Final Cut Pro etc.)
LTE modem in laptop will take more power and you always can charge your phone from laptop. And also, I know this is kind of stupid solution but because of crappy battery life on most of the smartphones this days I can imagine going out for a day without emergency powerbank.
That's your personal opinion. I don't like thinning of the machines (and that's a opinion) but I have actual reasons for it (overheating, battery size, upgradebility). Saying that uneven bezels are bad because you don't like them is like saying that recycling is bad because I don't like multiple bins in front of my house.
Let's face it iOS and need for software for it is keeping Apple computers alive. If one day it would be possible to develop iOS apps on other operating systems Macs sales would crash.
I am actually using CapsLock for typing capital letters. I learned it that way when I first got computer and it stick with me. Plus it's much easier to write capital, accent letters from my language because I don't have to hold two modifiers (Shift+Alt), just one.
To be fair in some countries providers give data SIM pretty much for free. Here where I am, my provider gives one SIM with data plan for free every other normal SIM, so in my mini company I have 2 company phone numbers and I got SIM card with data plan for free and there was literally no way to opt out of that SIM without paying more.
