The main problem in my eyes is not enough volunteers (although they are doing a superhuman effort) to get it into the production level it needs to get more widespread adoption. The other problem is that Python already has a huge amount of libraries and is considered to be "good enough" feature wise, so it's hard to attract interest.
I do enjoy reading Raku code and think it is super neat as this do it all post-modern language. Inertia is hard to overcome though.
I'm not really talking about making something longer just to be more clear either. I just meant all the nice libraries and Python data structures seem to allow me to do complex things in a short amount of code. Bash and Awk and all the Linux commands are great for simple things, but I haven't figured out how to handle more complex data outputs.

I'm always interested in hearing people's reactions to Forth though and every now and then you get a cool new story on these threads, so I'm not complaining.
I think letting humans vote on some small things may be the equivalent of letting your dog choose which direction to go. It's a decision, but ultimately useless in the grand scheme of things. The minds may be an even greater cognitive leap from us than the difference between us and dogs. They can easily give the illusion of choice without relinquishing any real control. This is all speculation of course.
So you still have freedom of self...just not much power to shape your civilization. Most of us don't have that anyway and at some level I think I'd be ok giving that up to a group of super intelligences so I can spend more time doing the things I enjoy.
They have one of the best coffee roasters/shops out there, tons of bike and hiking trails, you're in the Ozarks, a major university is next door in Fayetteville. You're not that far away from doing a float trip on the buffalo river either (1.5 hours). They have tons of concerts there too in Walmart's ampitheater. Also, there is some industry for sure and decent schools (for the south anyway).
It is very trendy. Northwest Arkansas is nothing like south Arkansas. Not geographically or politically. I wouldn't expect it to be THAT difficult to convince folks to relocate to somewhere like that. Walmart does pump a lot of money into the area.
