7Z7··on Lawsuit: Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer led illegal purge of male workers
In this world, at this time?
7Z7··on Replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone catches fire on Southwest plane
That was when they were the plucky underdog, like with IBM before that. They certainly aren't (and wouldn't accept opinions to the contrary) an underdog to Samsung.
7Z7··on Apple Has Removed Dash from the App Store
You trade that loss of control for the convenience of not having to distribute/host/manage money or returns/etc.
7Z7··on Police complaints drop over 90% after deploying body cameras
Don't you think it's more likely that the police involved - who all knew about and experienced wearing the body cams for a portion of their shifts - modified their overall behaviour, than assume that the unrelated public - who very likely don't know that police are trialling the cameras, were told when they were being recorded, and who probably haven't individually had multiple interactions with police before/during the trial (ie. to learn and modify their behaviour, even when they knew they were not being filmed by body cameras) - all managed to modify their behaviour, without conferring or conspiring, in line with the trial time?
7Z7··on Apple’s relationship with pro music needs some mending
I get that the one you linked is supposed to be a rant, but it just ends up as hyperbole and misinformation.
7Z7··on Police Accidentally Record Themselves Conspiring to Fabricate Charges
It's a DSLR, so when they noted that it was "still on", they probably just assumed it was a stills camera, switched on (as in ready-to-take-pictures).
7Z7··on Say hello to Google Allo: a smarter messaging app
Google/Alphabet are not in the marketing business. In fact they have pretty awful marketing. They are in the displaying ads business.
7Z7··on Why the Apple II ProDOS 2.4 Release Is the OS News of the Year
>a new, proprietary standard for wireless audio

Isn't it just Bluetooth?

7Z7··on Commission says Ireland granted undue tax benefits of up to €13B to Apple
>...compared to another business not receiving the exemption.

Are you intentionally ignoring this line?

7Z7··on Planet Found in Habitable Zone Around Nearest Star
But you don't have to send your people 1000 years away.
7Z7··on Vesper, Adieu
Have you got data to support that? Last data I read (2015) disagreed with you.

7Z7··on Guerrilla Bike Lanes in San Francisco
It was a woman, muhahahahah
7Z7··on Guerrilla Bike Lanes in San Francisco
I think you are being way too charitable to cars. Maybe it's where you are from, but I can't say that is my experience.
7Z7··on Hoaxes and scams on Facebook: How most of them work and spread
I presumed they were talking about the scams, rather than your article.
7Z7··on How the Arab World Came Apart
So GP's point is invalid than, no? Muslims take on debt and business loans regularly.
7Z7··on 3-word code is address of 57M 3-square-meter patches on earth's surface
I think the point was that you cannot derive the address next to you from only the address you are at plus logic.
7Z7··on How the Arab World Came Apart
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. But mortgages exist in lots of Muslim majority countries. Are you really suggesting that Muslims don't take on debt?

You can take out a mortgage in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Morocco.. They were the first four I checked.

7Z7··on WikiLeaks offers $20,000 for information on former DNC staffer's murder
>It only proves that no evidence has come to light that it was rigged.

That is all that anyone is really arguing here, contrary to this assertion:

>..just when Wikileaks released info that the DNC primaries were rigged

7Z7··on De La Soul’s Legacy Is Trapped in Digital Limbo
I'm pretty sure it isn't this.
7Z7··on Apple says Australia's banks pose a security threat to iPhones
> Simple things such as disabling updates is not possible -- because it is not in Apple's interest.

That seems disingenuous. Yes there is no explicit switch that prevents the user being informed about updates ever again, but there are no forced updates that I'm aware of. If you don't want to update, don't.

7Z7··on What If Addiction Is Not a Disease?
Have you got data that supports the 5x difference of opiate use being solely a criminal justice victory?

Seems like there are many reasons why that might be true.

7Z7··on Dormant Earth germs could spring to life in a Martian puddle
Some caution and some action gets us where we are.
7Z7··on Research indicates that only about half of perceived friendships are mutual
Friends care how friends perceive their words, honest or not.
7Z7··on What Apple should tell you when you lose your iPhone
Don't they (Apple at least) give you an option to send the code to your phone number, or to your iCloud/iMessage ID?
7Z7··on The Apple Goes Mushy Part I: OS X's Interface Decline
There is something wrong with your machine (or you are doing more than it is spec'd for). It is potentially still within the standard warranty period, so bring it back. If you have been experiencing these issues and have intentionally let it run past the warranty date, that's on you.
7Z7··on The Apple Goes Mushy Part I: OS X's Interface Decline
That's odd, in the latest iOS, all of the options I can see for deleting messages are accessed via the word "Delete"; one of which is on a red background (swipe conversation left). The other two require three steps with clear messaging/iconography: (Edit, select, Delete), or (long-tap message, more..., hit the Trashcan icon or hit "Delete All").

Perhaps it was an older version.

7Z7··on The Apple Goes Mushy Part I: OS X's Interface Decline
In fairness, it's a standard behaviour across several OSes.
7Z7··on The Apple Goes Mushy Part I: OS X's Interface Decline
Pretty sure the implication is that yellow is only for sticky notes.
7Z7··on Police asked 3D printing lab to recreate a dead man’s fingers to unlock phone
>fingerprints are 2D

>Fingerprints aren't 2D
