Perhaps Microsoft may crush Slack, but the basis of the argument is incorrect.
So who are they?
Koch money and texan hedge funds maybe, who knows. It would be interesting to see when the 13F comes out.
radar arrays and space or ground lasers, etc. but essentially lasers.
but a new age of war will be upon us. When all of the weapons get used up and the factories making them destroyed, and the radar installations and satellites fried with EMP's, then again it will be up to 17 year-olds fighting the fat man's war.
A little out of his league i would say.
The rebels will still find a way, but it will take years and many lives.
Big buzz, attracts the bees.
So on one hand - do you listen to a bunch of wallstreet know it all short sellers pumping out negative news and counting parking lots and shipping containers.
Or do you listen to the Elon case - that it actually may be crazy to buy a car that that is not a Tesla...
One thing is certain, A car like a boat has been a money loosing investment until today, and consumers have been marketed to oblivion and convinced that, that is O.K.
IF THAT CHANGES, even slightly, well, then... Its GG (good game). because that changes everything, and even the die hard truck lovers will be tempted to make a few bucks on the side.
I for one support the decision and would rather have my data and whereabouts in the hands of the USA rather than CHINA.
The devils in the details friends...

>> however the scale of engineering is something else ---> I had a lecture from the CEO of Benz, and i can tell you they are going all in on EV. Tesla needs to survive a few more years >> it is still significantly hard achieving what they have achieved for VW and Benz -> they have production lines tooled for Gasoline -> guess how hard it is to change that and retool? not easy...
I say this because its been done many many times before...
They are liable for the deaths. The real question now is what is a human life worth to a corporation? (i.e. payout).
Next Steps: + BA should be heavily fined. +scrutinize ties and lobbying with FAA. + Fire head of FAA, and teams involved in approving MCAS.
Microsoft got broken up for anti-trust behavior that is PEANUTS relatively speaking today. Bill Gates was right, (proven overt time) - that the OS is not the competitive advantage - its the platform and ecosystem as a whole.
Google should be broken up, so should facebook and so should Apple.
Amazon? I don't know they seem fairly diversified and although are decimating e-commerce its a more difficult sell.
PErhaps its a teaser piece of what's to come.
Does that answer your question?
And let's face it, The military is a big part of the American institution - you can disagree and argue against it but that will not change reality. They also have the biggest pocket book, so Google, Amazon, Microsoft will always do business with them. If you disagree - leave Silicon Valley or those companies and join an NGO - I am sure they need technical help these days and cannot afford the talent.
the reach of those guys is scary. HE could relocate to the middle of nowhere but i can't imagine a life of looking over your shoulder.
Stay tuned.
