I prefer to have great ideas in rust ported over to C instead of rewriting everything with Rust. this approach will benefit all the existing softwares written in C which I think is much larger than Rust in terms of both impact and code size.

am I a minority having this opinion?

i don't understand. let's say that tests are super accurate, a negative test result does not mean you won't spread virus in the future. You may have virus the next day or an hour later. tests are important for treatments but i don't think they are effective as a basis for isolation.

mortality depends on the country in which the patient is treated in my view.

according to WHO's situation report, Singapore has 91 confirmed cases and 0 death so far. in most developed country, mortality rate seems to be on much lower side. Of course these numbers can change at any minute.

What influential applications are written in rust? For c++, there is llvm, chrome, game engines, I feel like c++ is standing very strong in any of these fields still, why is that? Do u think it’s going to change soon?

100% agreed. Html and css are for documents not for ui imo. Quite sad that they are becoming the standard for creating ui

Really good points made by this article imo. I feel like a lot of OO code problems can be the result of misuse of encapsulations. A private member of a class that mutates is rarely meant to be encapsulated but it is just a property of the class.
