113··on European troops arrive in Greenland to boost the Arctic island's security
I mean, we were previously working together to invade countries in the middles east, killing millions of people. I wouldn't call that peaceful.
113··on Network of Scottish X accounts go dark amid Iran blackout
It's about half a dozen accounts, it could just be the very strange hobby of a single person in Iran. I don't know why all the other comments are acting like this is evidence of a huge misinformation campaign by Russia.
113··on ICE Is Going on a Surveillance Shopping Spree
As someone that doesn't live in the US, this post sounds insane.
113··on Children and Helical Time
This doesn't make any kind of sense. There's plenty of homeless people outside of expensive cities.
113··on Clair Obscur having its Indie Game Game Of The Year award stripped due to AI use
What's wrong with being a Luddite?
113··on Show HN: Jmail – Google Suite for Epstein files
I don't know if I'm just misremembering but it feels like over the last three years or so the technical knowledge on HN has gone down the toilet.
113··on Show HN: Gemini 3 imagines Hacker News as a HyperCard stack in 1994
I prefer human writers tbh
113··on I am just sooo sick of AI prediction content, let's kill it already
Then the answer isn't to adopt AI it's to unionise.
113··on Llmdeathcount.com
I don't think they're wilfully misrepresenting the article by listing it's headline, even if you disagree with it.
113··on Wealthy foreigners 'paid for chance to shoot civilians in Sarajevo'
Not really? That isn't the argument they were making.
113··on Britain's railway privatization was an abject failure
Where's the contradiction?
113··on Laptops with Stickers
Considering how many of these stickers are about being gay or trans, compromising about expressing yourself sounds pretty grim. I wouldn't want to put that aside to get on with my co-workers.
113··on Microplastics: No longer a "maybe"
Governments aren't doing much about climate change and the science is very clear on that.
113··on Sam Altman's pants are on fire
> You regularly make personal attacks against individuals on the internet?

Isn't that basically the history of the internet?

113··on Show HN: Why write code if the LLM can just do the thing? (web app experiment)
Yeah but in this case your car is non-deterministic so
113··on Show HN: Why write code if the LLM can just do the thing? (web app experiment)
> Because nobody actually wants a "web app". People want food, love, sex or: solutions.

Okay but when I start my car I want to drive it, not fuck it.

113··on Grokipedia by xAI
The problem I have with most AI output like this is that it's just a huge wall of text that doesn't really say anything.
113··on Movie posters from Ghana in the 1980s and 90s
There's a weird way of engaging with cinema from a few African countries that requires wrapping yourself in irony before you enjoy them.
113··on Wikipedia says traffic is falling due to AI search summaries and social video
The younger generation absolutely use Tiktok search to find information.
113··on Wikipedia says traffic is falling due to AI search summaries and social video
They also serve images.
113··on Show HN: I'm making a detective game built on Wikipedia
Was able to get a lot of the guess-the-word one just based on it being an anagram. Might want to throw in a few decoy letters?
113··on Don't Be a Sucker (1943) [video]
Well it's massively overtly nationalist for one. There's a hilarious sequence at the beginning that's just shots of American industry and agriculture.
113··on Don't Be a Sucker (1943) [video]
Is it still true that Americans find it hard to see how this is very clearly propaganda?

Yes, it's anti-Nazi but it's still has very obvious problems.

113··on Vibing a non-trivial Ghostty feature
> Despite people yelling

The "people yelling" are overwhelmingly pro-AI. I find the other side to be relatively quiet.

113··on It's OpenAI's world, we're just living in it
Money Can Be Exchanged For Goods and Services
113··on The AI bubble is 17 times the size of the dot-com frenzy and four times subprime
> its not fair to say its impossible

Nothing is impossible!

> LLMs also came out of nowhere

No they didn't.

113··on The death of east London's most radical bookshop
I also thought this would be about Freedom, the title is really a bit misleading.
113··on Nepal picks a new prime minister on a discord server days after social media ban
Presumably if people aren't happy about it they'll just continue to revolt.
113··on Microsoft is officially sending employees back to the office
> No CEO cares about commercial real estate profits. It isn't a factor in any major company decision.

No spherical CEO in a vacuum, maybe.

113··on Navy SEALs reportedly killed North Korean fishermen to hide a failed mission
I feel like everything being said in this thread is at odds with what's in the article.
