Lineage is also so frigging annoying how they just drop old phones. They won't even provide the last good build or previous builds. Really bad thinking over there in general I guess.
:(
:)
I didn't see the update in F-Droid. I had been manually installing the apk and had to do the same for 5.800.
I especially appreciate that it works on my Android 6 device. My MotoX from 2013 is still my primary phone and it has no newer updates (running LineageOS).
If you happen to not have insurance, well they bill the same stupid-high rate and you have no negotiation power like an insurance company does.
I've seen this myself. Just walking in to an ER can be $5k even when they don't do anything at all. God help you if you actually need care like an x-ray, CT/MRI, bandages, overnight+ stay. I had a CT done for broken ribs and it was $15k for the scan all by itself, plus the $5k ER "facilities" charge, plus all the various doctors each had their own charge (about $2k for each doctor). Healthcare in the US is totally borked.
Most people don't really understand how bad it is because they've never been without corporate insurance (maybe self-employed or other reasons).
I personally know a couple people who went blind from looking at radio sources (one was a wave-guide the other was a radar dish; oops). That's one reason I never watch my food cook in a microwave.
As a kid we used to cook hotdogs using an antenna and transmitter.
So yeah, radio waves can have an effect on you no doubt. As for cancer, well, anything that damages your cells theoretically has a chance at cancer. Whether that risk is higher than normal with common radio sources like cellphones is up for debate but I think it's possible.
Edit: Most Wifi is very weak so at even a small distance unlikely to damage cells. Cellphones can be more powerful and you hold it right up against your body. Does it actually damage cells? I think the jury is still out but again I think it's possible..
