I logged out of facebook a few weeks ago with the intention of never going back. I got to say it's a deeply liberating feeling. Once you realize that people just go there to go there, breaking that loop is incredibly gratifying.

On the other hand, I still use FB messenger as the main means of communication for almost all of my friends abroad.

Could someone please explain why this might be useful? It seems like something that a crypto developer might like but if I'm developing something innocuous why would it matter if it runs inside a container?

Is it bad to say at this point I've spent so much time with Chrome that I am not interested in switching? Things work well for me.

Wow that's really cool. I didn't know about this project before. Thanks for the headsup!

I bought the SP a while ago, before the two monitors. If I had my druthers I'd go with something more powerful. Either a dedicated desktop rig or a beefier laptop

I really like using Ubuntu but I don't like Unity. My solution? Run Awesome WM instead :)

Do you right click every time you want to send a message? It seems like a great application for large block messages like an email but the Facebook messenger example seemed a little klunky, why not switch a secure instant messaging platform to save those additional steps?

I agree with you. I use a surface pro 3 as my daily driver but I have two 23" monitors I plug it into. I can only use the 13" screen for movie watching and reading.

Thanks for that link to Gene Kranz's wiki. The guy was a real hero, and an understated one at that.
